Chives Seeds

Having ordered and had a great germination success with different seeds (basil and coriander) from this company/provider I thought I’d give chives a go. The seeds arrived in good condition, swiftly and securely packaged. They are reasonably priced (well, almost unreasonably cheap if you ask me) and you get a solid number of seeds (enough for planting a number of pots, along a reasonably sized flower bed if outside, or a couple of trays); I planted three medium sized pots liberally and have about half the packet left.The packet itself comes with really accessible and easy to follow instructions. I followed them largely and have and have a couple of pots set up to germinate inside and another directly into a pot outside. I will update this review, including some photos, if and as the seeds germinate and grow.So far, five stars, though this may have to be adjusted over time as the seeds begin (hopefully) to germinate.Update: a little while on and they appear to have germinated well and with a relatively high success rate. I thought chives were supposed to be dead easy to grow but very few germinated and they were grown in a reputable seed compost. Not sure if this was down to me or if it is a poor product.

Bought these seeds packets along with a few others. The seed packets came really quickly and when I contacted the seller they were very friendly and got back to me ASAP. He price is pretty decent considering the availability in the shops due to COVID-19. The mint I planted is growing really well although I bought the parsley and chives too late in the season to plant. Would definitely consider Bulbs and seeds direct again when buying for next season!

Finally providing me with some chives! Planted a couple of months ago, a bit slow, but nice taste.

I bought these for my dad, as he has a vegetable garden, and he was looking forward to grow herbs. Worth every penny thanks 😊

The first bunch of seeds planted didn’t germinate well but now that I added plenty more it seems to have done the job and a lot are now germinated and growing. Haven’t been able to taste them yet but the growth currently looks great so I have faith that they will be perfect!
