PowerBear Samsung Galaxy S4 Extended Battery [6000 mAh] with Cover & Case [230% Battery]

If you still have a Samsung S4 (I had mine for nearly 6 years as a work 'phone so it was in constant use) you'll know that it is now really operating at the end of it's life. The main problem for me was, that I was using it as a navigation tool as well, both in the car - with Google Maps - and while working around London, with City Mapper, both of which rely heavily on GPS.In the car was no so bad, as I could just plug it in, but 7 hours of walking around London, killed the battery quickly. Finding the PowerBear quite literally was the difference between my being able to do my job and not.It's very easy to install, just remove your old S4 back and battery and this just sits in and replaces it. The battery part looks like someone has taken two batteries and stuck them together and as a result it sticks out beyond the back of the 'phone. The PowerBear cover clips onto the back of the S4 in the same way as an original cover might and then, job done. Your 'phone will be quite a bit deeper than it originally was, but now there is double the battery time. A simple, obvious solution to battery longevity issues, if not an entirely elegant one.Doing this extend the life of my 'phone for another year, which was long enough to get my business established without all the cost of getting anew 'phone. Eventually, the S4 couldn't handle all the apps I need and so a change came, but overall this was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Several months in, and still working brilliantly! Battery is top notch and breathes new life into my 5 year old phone.The rubber outer case is great, if a little fussy about what cables you use (some are too fat and fall out).Inner hard case is very comfortable; I like a bigger thing to grip. The case is squeaky, though. Doesn't clip on particularly strongly.Packaging and manual outstanding. Recommended.UPDATE: Used this for approximately 1yr. Currently lasts a day with heavyISH use. Writing this at 12:28pm, unplugged at 6am and on 82% now with 19hrs remaining. This isn't 2-3 days use. If I were to play a game now for a few hours it would die in maybe 3 hours.

Like. Looong periods between charges.Good quality replacement back cover. Everything fits correctly.Dislike. Had to replace the back on my Samsung S4 which had a flip over screen cover/protector.(Samsung EF-CI950B S View Case for Galaxy S4 - Black) from Amazon.Perhaps one could be made available with this battery.

Having used extended phone batteries for my Samsung phones I can tell that this battery is not really 6000mAh. I would say at best its around 5000mAh. It still powers the phone the whole day but the S4 isnt a power hungry device so if this really was 6000mAh it should last almost 2 whole days.

Cover is durable and provides good protection, although a screen-cover would be preferable. I made sure to follow instructions regarding calibrating the phone to the battery (which involves allowing the battery to drain completely three times when it's first installed). Battery does NOT provide the claimed "doubling" of battery life but it is certainly greater than that of a "normal" battery. The required cover does turn your phone into a bit of a brick, but would buy again.

Been using it for 2 months now and it's working great. Phone lasts well over twice as long as with the original battery.I actually find (for me) the extra thickness with this battery (and case) makes the phone more comfortable to hold.If you squeeze - the back cover can make slight creaking noises but nothing that would bother me.I'm very happy with this item.

Very happy with this purchase. My husband recommended to me after he brought one for himself. Not required to charge it during the day. Haven't felt unsafe and vulnerable because my phone has died because the battery never goes under 50%. Every woman should invest in one.

Simple to fit and does not make the phone overly large. The battery life performance is excellent. I no longer have to take a spare battery with me if I'm out for the day and without access to a charger. Top quality product.
