Easy to set up.
I see that a number of users have mentioned some difficulty in setting up the RT100. I can't imagine what their problem was. This is my easiest set up ever. I'm sixty-seven, and I've been setting up record decks since the 1970s. Anyone who found this difficult might have thrown themselves from a tall building setting up an older SME tonearm with its anti-skating of a small weight on the end if a fine wire, looped over a small wheel. It's a nice deck. I will replace the cartridge later with something better I have around. In the meantime this is a delight to use, This model is being phased out, I believe. Its replacement seems to be attracting a little less enthusiasm. Whatever quibbles others might have - if it's anything like this ... GREAT. I would have given ***** for sound quality with a better cartridge and styles.

Excellent turntable
After much research I bought a Roberts RT100 . To be honest I wanted an Audio Technica one but couldn’t get one anywhere without paying over the odds. The Roberts one was almost half the price of the the Audio Technica & I’m glad I bought it. I wouldn’t say it was easy to set up but if you follow the instructions it’s pretty straight forward . I connected it to my Panasonic Allplay network with the aux connection. The sound is very good although I think it would be even better with an external amplifier but I will try that another time. The built in preamp is more than adequate though. Everything about it feels good quality. My only gripe was the RCA cables weren’t as good as they could be ….. I kept losing sound to the speakers but changed to a gold RCA that I had already & that was solved. The USB function is very useful. I’ve been converting my record collection to digital format using Audacity software. Once you’ve read the online help guide it’s relatively straight forward to upload a record but it’s a time consuming operation so I usually do one or two a night & have nearly copied my whole collection now. All in all this is a very good entry level turntable with excellent sound to bring my old vinyl collection back to life & well worth the money. I hadn’t realised how much better vinyl sounds that a CD so much that I’m now expanding my record collection!!

If you love Roberts Revival Radios, you will love this!
Lovely retro, chunky turntable, all parts reassuringly heavy, it looks great. Really didn’t want a modern look, but didn’t want poor sound quality either, this one is ideal. If you are a fan of Roberts Revival, classic radios you will love this. It doesn’t have in built speaker but works well and looks great with classic looking Marshall, Stockwell II speaker, which is size of small handbag and heavy as a brick, great combination with Roberts turntable. And both together means it’s fairly portable, we move it around the house and garden, we all love it!

Faulty
After setting up the turntable and plugging it in, it wouldn’t even turn on. Spent hours trying everything, just to speak to support and be told to send it back. It’s now out of stock so no replacement. It’s a beautiful looking turntable but where’s the value in something that doesn’t even work.
