Plug fits too tight; a little too big. Old plug worked fine.

It's a little better than ok.
I would like to give this SPRI Elite Xercise Ball 3.5 stars but that's not possible so I rounded my rating up to 4 stars. Its a decent quality ball, however, it seems a tad to small for the exercises I do. I am 5'3" and this is the size that was recommended for me. I don't know, maybe I just got used to using a slightly bigger ball and I'm just not accustomed to this size. But that's not my problem with this ball as I am adjusting to the size. My true problem is it seems like I have to add more air after three or four uses. Is that normal? I don't know if it is but it does get on my nerves a little bit. I use this ball just about everytime I workout (right now I'm doing Supreme 90 day System which recommends using a ball for most of the workouts) and I hate when I have to pry the pin out to add air. It's just annoying but I manage to live through it. So overall, I think the quality is there but it misses the ball when it comes to holding air. Maybe its just my ball that does this...I dunno! Even though I mentioned it, the size is not really an issue when it comes to my rating because I really should have did my homework and compared sizes in person before making a blind purchase.

Confidence inspiring
I highly recommend this ball. It feels sturdy and is of high quality, at least for the few months so far. I'm 6' tall and at first thought it was too big, but now I'm glad I got the 75 cm size. I feel very confident using weights on it and it feels safe. The one I received isn't smooth as shown in the pictures on Amazon. I contacted SPRI through their website but either they didn't get my question or didn't reply whether it should be smooth or textured. I think I'd prefer a smooth one, but maybe the texture helps prevent slipping on carpet or something. On the first inflation to 25" it's just barely rounded out so it doesn't have to stretch much on the second day to get to full size. It is quite firm after the second inflation to 29". It gets softer with use but not much. I suppose it'll need some air added occasionally, but so do most inflated things. The folds from when it was packaged are still visible, but don't seem to matter. SPRI shows the correct picture with texture and fold marks on their own website (http://www.spri.com/product/elite-xercise-ball/SXBE.html). It smells a bit weird, but the odor of mine wasn't that strong and now is only noticeable when up close to it. To me it's worth the extra $15 to get this over a cheaper ball that might catastrophically fail, leaving you on the floor.

a bit on the small side
I had read that this is a 22" ball and it was one of the reasons I ordered it. I am 5' 5" and it will work, but I would much prefer that other inch. The 65 cm. is a bit too big for me, and this one is more ideal, but not perfect. It warns not to blow it up past 21". Otherwise it is of good quality. What the others have said about the smell is VERY true. It does smell right out of the box. It has a very strong rubbery type smell mixed with an almost vanilla type scent (may sound pleasant but it is not). It sets off my asthma. The other size Spri balls that come as a kit with the pump did not smell as bad as this one does. It seems almost like they purposely added something to this for scent purposes, but it doesn't work. It smelled up my whole living area, which is 16' x 14', so I stuck it in a less used room to air out. I am pretty certain it will get better with time. The ones at the gym do not have a noticable smell. This is the exact same ball that I use at our 24 hour fitness (the elite), but they do put more air in it (it is bigger than mine, because of that). I ordered it, after using theirs, because I do like it. Note: it does have very strong rigid rings around the ball, but they have not bothered me at all. I was concerned the might.UPDATE: Still smells, several months later. Still like the way it functions, but I have to keep it in my spare room.

Retiring today after 2 years 9 months of daily use
Excellent ball that I am retiring today after 2 years 9 months of daily use both for exercise and at a desk; during that time I've weighed from 215 to 250 pounds.I have had cheap Swiss balls burst (not fun!) and after that started using higher quality balls. These included one that looked just like the Gymstick Pro and Fitness-Mad Studio Pro balls but with a different brand/label (same 500kg rating and made in Australia so it was likely the same ball), the GoFit Pro, and then this SPRI Elite. All of them were good but I found the SPRI Elite to be the best combination of price/performance/safety (none of these higher quality balls have ever burst on me). I would recommend all of these balls but liked the SPRI Elite best. However, everything wears out and my SPRI Elite is beginning to remain deformed, for too long in my estimation, and different than it was. So I just received my new SPRI UltraBall to replace it and the Elite is about to get popped.I would buy another SPRI Elite but decided to try the SPRI UltraBall. I highly recommend the SPRI Elite; and that you record the "IN USE" date on the ball, monitor for damage, and replace it when needed.

Good balance ball
Nice sturdy balance ball. I like the SPRI brand - it's what they use in my gym, and it seems well made. I purchased the very large silver one, and it is very large when filled like it's supposed to be, so exactly what I expected. Some of these balance balls say "large" but they're actually medium sized, even when completely full (physical therapist suggested sizing up) -- this silver one is truly very large, as described. It has a strong plastic smell, but I expect that to dissipate over time. The only reason I'm rating this good vs excellent is that it did not come with a pump, and all my other balance balls did. Also, the valve/seal is different (smaller) than the others, and they only included one (and a pump adapter valve), and other balance balls I've purchased came with a pump and 2 valve/seals, which is great in case you damage one when you are refilling them with air. But that's a small thing and I am overall happy with this balance ball.
