These are always great, purchased for sons concert band prior to a tour to make set up just that bit quicker and easier and they do the job brilliantly.

Really excellent but works better with newer stands as they need a long thread shaft to clasp well. I turn mine upside down on short shaft older stands. They don't work well for heavy cymbal hitters they can get pushed off. For me they are superb and it's a joy taking my cymbals on and off really quickly. I play gently and jazzy most of the time.

Really simple idea and might seem a bit of a luxury or gimmick, but they do a great job. No loosening while playing - you decide how loose you want your cymbals to be by choosing which way up to put the cymbal mate, and then they stay that way however long or hard you play. And at the end of a long day, they make packing down that little bit quicker; no more spinning wing nuts flying off into some dark corner of the stage as you loosen them - these just lift off when you squeeze them. It's surprising just how much the little things make a difference.

I am curious about the negative reviews regarding these flying off. I have them on three different drum sets and five different types of stands. Yamaha, Tama, Gibraltar, Crush, and CDP. I frequently trade cymbals around the sets as the drums are retuned and as when there are gigs, depending on the type of venue - different cymbals and setting up and tearing down. After five years I haven't encountered this issue at all. They are simple, easy to use, make for fast changes, and don't detract from the cosmetics of the drums. Maybe our styles of playing are greatly different. I would recommend these as wing nut replacements and also keep a few spares, not because of breakage or loss, but because I can lay them down and walk off...Duh!

A must-have for drummers! I swear by these little lifesavers now! They go on and off with ease, a very secure fit and they are well-built, not cheap or flimsy. Some other are bright pink, too, which I'm not particularly fond of. These are a major time saver when you are setting up and tearing now, especially when you're doing it several times a day. At almost $12 each at most stores I've looked at, this 4 pack is also a real steal. Have already ordered another set to have in my accessories kit.
