Note: The picture is with my Manfrotto head installed.Seems very well built, and pretty steady, more than I was expecting even with everything fully extended.Not extending the last leg section, which is the Achilles heel on any tripod, the thinnest part, will keep it even more stable. There's a handy hand strap that I don't think was mentioned in the listing.The head it came with seems fairly well built too, but I swapped my Manfrotto ball head over to it... it's a no brainer...it's a Manfrotto head. My old one which is still a great tripod will now be my secondary/backup tripod, or for lights, studio setting, etc. I bought this because my old one is too long and clumbsy to fit on the camera backpack, I need to keep things as light as possible. The black and red looks pretty nice too.One answer I never got answered is the spikes do retract by turning the rubber, it wasn't a deal-breaker it they weren't.Also I was surprised the bag seems pretty good quality, it's padded, seams seem sturdy. The only downside is it is only big enough when the tripod is invert flipped to its shortest possible length, but I may not even need it when it's on my camera backpack.

The best thing about this tripod is that it is lightweight. On the down side, it is lightweight. Be sure to use the center post hook to weigh this down. I was in constant fear of it falling over in windy conditions. But the worst thing about this and the reason I decided to bite the bullet and spend over $1000.00 on another tripod is that the play in the ball joint made it very difficult framing a shot and useless for panoramic landscape photography.

Light weight and collapses into a very small package that is easily carried the side of a backpack. Seems to be quite well made. All of the clamps, etc. operate well.

As with everything in life, you get what you pay for. There’s no such thing as cheap and good. I had a cheaper $35 tripod to try out which did the job but only lasted a couple of years. This tripod feels like a quality product. All the adjustments you need can be found on it. Just know you need to buy the additional smart device holder for it which I did today.

Perfect for all kinds of travellers, backpackers and adventurers as it's really light and fits in most normal sized backpacks without having to strap it on the outside. Great value for money at this price point although the build of the material isn't of the highest quality. But you trade that off for being lightweight and easily transportable I will take that any day.
