Braun Multiquick 5 MQ 545 Aperitif

The Aperitif Multiquick 5 is a very useful kitchen aid and it's such a shame that this package isn't available in the UK anymore. (This one came from Germany).The voltage is the same as the UK and it comes with a good quality adapter so that it can be plugged into UK electrical outlets so there's no problem with compatibility.The rest of this review will be a comparison with my previous Braun Multiquick which came with almost identical components and was purchased around 12 years ago which incidentally I was very happy with.The jugs and beakers are a high quality polycarbonate (or similar) material and the blades are a very tough stainless steel on tough plastic shafts (all the same as the previous models), the gear boxes are the same as the original and Braun have uprated the motor from 450w to 600w. In addition they have switched from using plastic to stainless steel for the stick blender attachment, making it even more durable than the original.With respect to operation, it does everything it says on the tin and when it comes to making milkshakes, smoothies and soups it's superior to any blender I have used, (it makes the best creamy mashes in the 1.5L jug) and it's easier to keep clean too.The previous model I owned lasted for 12+ years and is still going strong although it's starting to show its age so based on what I have seen so far I have no doubt that this new model will last just as long if not longer. Last time I checked,( 2013), most or all the components were available separately so spares shouldn't be a problem. I'd highly recommend this product.

Delivered on time,used all parts(except the whisk) and found everything worked very well.Excellent product

This is a good product: it does what it says it will and it does it effectively. But. My last one of these lasted over ten years and I still have various bits of it to compare to this model. The new one is nowhere near as robust. The motor is lighter, the plastic on the jugs is thinner, there is no speed gradient etc etc. I am afraid this is like all things: cut costs, make an inferior product and hope that people don't notice. Well we do. But what choice do we have?

Have been trying out many other hand blenders since my last Braun went kaput..but nothing works like a Braun! Was worried since they have stopped selling it in the UK, but glad to manage getting this on Amazon.. Works just as it should..and like a dream too... Very highly recommended!! The only thing missing would be a medium sized container for the blender - but will be able to source it again from Amazon..

This set is good value giving plenty of options for food preparation and the quality seems excellent.

I absolutely love this product! Such a great quality and very powerful machine! Would highly recommend thid product! I am very pleased :)

The whisk falls out when using the appliance. I never used the other attachments because the whisk attachment was faulty so had to return product.

Bought as a replacement for the Braun model that I had for 20 years. I just hope it lasts as long

good design, but the 1st power setting is inadequate. there is normal and turbo, normal is low powered. also a lot of vibration compared to higher models and motor seems inferior to a Phillips of the same genre.

this was a big hit in Africa. lots of attachments that do the job and takes little electricity. when everything is solar energy driven, this is important.

Excellent produit. Le pied mixeur est vraiment robuste dans sa conception comparé à certain pied d une autre marque connue (Se..) vendu au même prix avec autant d accessoires.L ensemble est ergonomique, avec une prise en main confortable du revêtement gris antidérapant. Le hachoir mixeur est de petite taille et donc très pratique. Le blinder est l accessoires supplémentaire non négligeable pour le prix. Absolument pas déçu. Reste à voir dans le temps.

Habe es jetzt noch nicht lange im Einsatz, also kann ich nur eine erste Einschätzung abgeben.Qualität und Quantität ist echt super.Im Gegensatz zu einer großen Küchenmaschine lässt sich das nach Gebrauch gut verstauen und es steht nichts unnötiges in der Küche rum. Für den der wenig Platz in der Küche hat ist das optimal.Das zweite was mich sehr positiv überrascht hat, ist die Reinigung. Es gibt so gut wie keine Stellen an die man nicht hinkommt um sie von Resten zu befreien.Mein erster Test war eine Kürbissuppe.Beim ersten mal habe ich es mit dem Stabmixer in einem Topf gemacht, weil ich es immmer so gemacht habe. Danach ist meistens eine komplette Küchenreinigung angebracht, da es über den Topf hinausspritzt. Das Reinigen der Einzelteile war das kleinste Problem.Beim zweiten mal, war ich schlauer. Da damit geworben wird, man könne Eis in dem kleinen Mixbecher zerkleinern, habe ich einfach die Kürbisstücke in den Becher geschmissen und es damit zerkleinert. Schlau oder? Kommt niemand drauf! (kleiner Scherz :-).)Die Reinigungszeit hat sich so von 20 auf 2 Minuten verkürzt.Diese Erkenntnis hat wahrscheinlich jeder gehabt, egal ob vor 10 Jahren oder 10 Tagen, das hängt aber eher mit dem Alter der Menschen und der Mittel die man hat zusammen als mit Intelligenz.
