Ronseal DHPFFPS25 2.5L Diamond Hard Perfect Finish Floor Paint Slate

Great, painted a wooden floor without stripping it, does mean its more painted than stained, so the grain doesn't come through as fully etc but can see that it is wood still, although this is what I wanted and only took a few hours and a lot less faff/mess than sanding for hours on end.If painting a large space, best to do it in blocks and then leave space between them, then fill the gaps in later and as long as you've stirred the paint enough you'll get even colours. A thin coat twice is better than one thick coat, but I was impatient and could have got better results with spending some more time and doing more lighter coats.Trying to do too much can mean there can be unsightly overlaps as the paint begins to dry pretty quickly. Something I learned, If there is excess paint at the end of each stroke when using the perfect pad thing, lift up once getting to the end with a swoosh like motion evens it all out.I found the perfect pad worked well, I used this slate colour as an undercoat and then bought a 2.5L tin of the black (which you can't get with the perfect pad for some reason), and the result for about £60 with 3 coats at about 1hr each to apply (30m2 fof looring) and 5 hrs for drying per coat is a complete conversion in a weekend.Due to going for a black floor, my previous mishaps around overlapping or applying too much paint on the first coat are effectively hidden, but other colours would be less forgiving.

This product was really great. It was used to cover laminate flooring. It looks amazing and was easy to apply. Tip use a brush to do last coat.

I'm a complete novice and even I managed to turn a filthy carpeted room into something reasonable. The floor pad applicator was great - it did keep falling off but that was probably my technique. Gave a really even finish, and I was amazed at how quickly and hard it dried. I will give it another coat in Summer just to keep it fresh but am very pleased with it!

Ordered two pots of this to do two large rooms ended up doing one room with two coats (laminate) and second room with one coat (floorboards) and with just one pot covered perfectly so didn't end up needing the second pot :) excellent product highly recommend

Not very good came off floor 4 days after painting the floor!!!

Impossible to get a non streaky finish with the grey - I have used white in the past and it was amazing

Used for a studio floo,r replacing the original (identical) paint which had lasted six years.
