Pledge Klear Multi Surface Wax - actually works for diluting acrylic paint for airbrushing surfboard blanks
If somebody had told me that I'd be using a floor cleaner to dilute acrylic paint to airbrush surfboard blanks, I'd have wet myself laughing, but all research pointed to a product called 'Futures Floor Polish'. However no such product in the UK so a kind chap on Swaylocks found a document online which lists the names for the same product around the world since this is also used by modellers for airbrushing apparently. Still massively sceptical, mixed 1:1 ratio with Winsor & Newton Series 1 acrylic paint and 1:1:1 ratio distilled water/Klear/Winsor & Newton acrylic paint and tested on a piece of scrap foam. Next day, both dried and looked great. Went ahead with the 1:1 Klear/paint ratio in the end and it airbrushed on splendidly. Board glassed and hotcoated and no smudging or running, and I'm grinning from ear to ear with bewilderment and relief that a floor cleaner actually worked for airbrushing. Last note: I used this on high density EPS foam with epoxy resin, not sure if it also works on PU foam with poly resin, I think it does but please check. Hope this will save someone some time and apprehension.

This is a good product
First of all, we have 6 dogs! You can imagine the state my kitchen floor gets into, especially during a wet day. I decided to give this a try and my 5 year old tiled floor, with much heavy duty traffic, even after cleaning, never seemed to shine. I’d read the reviews before purchasing and thought perhaps this was the answer. I wasn’t disappointed. Don’t get me wrong it gave my floor more of a lift from dull to reflectively clean looking rather than a super glossy shine, but that is exactly what I wanted.Do I think it’s worth what I paid? I think the price could come down by a few pounds. I’d buy it again, hopefully in a sale.

Brilliant buy through Amazon
I have always used Pledge Klear Multi-surface wax floor shine over many years, so i was very dissapointed when it became unavailable in my regular supermarket, so went on line with hope in my heart.I was so delighted to see that you could buy it through Amazon until i read the reviews and most of them were quite negative-very off putting i must say yet the manufacturers said they had improved it.So i decided to give it a go and went ahead and ordered it and surprise surprise after my kitchen floor dried i was ecstatic it look just like a skating rink-absolutely BRILLIANT.Yes definitly a great improvement.Really cant understand the folk that said the original was better. All you need to do is follow the instructions and you will get brilliant results.I highley recommend this product and give it a huge 5 star rating. Only one down side it,s a wee bit expensive but to be fair i will wait to see how long the first application lasts. So far with the very bad wet weather and the dogs it is doing extremely well and faring much better than the original,it's been done now for three week's and look's as good as day one.

I think I got Klear!
For those who know Klear just happened to be a very good clear and self-leveling sealing coat that is unlikely to react with whatever you apply it to. I think it is still basically the same stuff, however, the bottle has changed again (it isn't clear!) and it no longer says "Klear". The product I got is not in the bottle illustrated. There is a contents/safety info pdf on the manufacturer's website and I'm no chemist but it strongly suggests it's a water-based acrylic varnish with lots of other additives - which is what it behaves like in use.I don't know why they market it as a wax/polish as it's quick-drying and goes sticky before it drys. You have to apply it pretty quickly then leave it alone until dry and if you want a high gloss, apply more coats after it's dried. One coat is more eggshell/satin which I think is useful rather than a shortcoming. So I only give this listing 3 stars for the misleading marketing which is pretty much 90% the manufacturers doing. They get points for using recycled plastic for the bottle, which may be why it isn't clear anymore.

Excellent Gloss Varnish for Model Making.
I managed to track this stuff down as the alternative to the original Klear which has been the thing of legend amongst model builders for many years.I can't tell you about floors in hallways, kitchens of bathrooms, because I have not used it for such things. I have however used it on model aircraft and I can tell you it gives a lovely gloss finish for laying decals into position. Three or four coats painted on with a wide flat brush dries in around 20 minutes, and then can be recoated in and hour or so, but I tend to leave it a few hours. Seems to work very well with Humbrol Decal fix.

Tiled floor cleaner polish
No good for my tiled floor as after using it found floor to be sticky - we diluted and washed as per instructions but had to scrub the floor to get rid of the stickiness it caused.

Not for modelling
This was reviewed as the replacement varnish for an American floor polish that has ceased production. It's okay but does not produce the spectacular results expected. I would recommend a proper gloss varnish over this stuff. Probably is a very nice floor polish though?
