Bahco 8224 Ergo Slip Joint Pliers 250mm, Quick Release Adjustable Grip Pliers Wide Opening

I first came across these in the 80's whilst working 'on the tools' as a maintenance technician. I've had loads of different makes it slip joint pliers but non have come even close to the quality and convenience of these Swedish babies (or they used to be Swedish). A little bit of brand history. Back in the 80's, Bahco was a part of Sandvik's saw and hand tool devision (Swedish steel). This changed in the mid 90's when the US global tool conglomerate Snap-on tools acquired Bacho. For those in the know Snap-on tools have a reputation amongst many who earn their living using hand tools as being amongst the best that there is out there - particularly mechanics. This also hold true for Bacho tools. To be candid these slip joint pliers are the dogs b0llocks. The slip joint mechanism which unique to Bacho is second to none and can be operated with one hand. The handles are really comfortable to hold and one can really expert some wellie without the risk of slipping or rounding of on a job [unlike inferior designs]. This is in part due to the jaws being precisely manufactured and well designed. It sometimes pays to buy quality. This is so true when buying hand tools as cheaper, inferior tools often qickly fail or wesr out. These pliers used to be £50+ from the likes of Tool Station and Screw-Fix. At the current price on here - presuming that they are not fake which to be candid isn't to rare on Amazon and similar sites - they are an absolute steal. Given my experience of these so far.... Highly Recommend.

These work just dandy. One hand release for when you are jammed up under a bath etc. quality construction typical of Bacho stuff.

Ok grips I have used them for about a year. Handles bend a bit when gripping hard and sideways movement.

The ability to lock the jaw setting makes it easier to clamp around pipes, nuts with vice grip. Being bahco, it should be quality that'll last decades, well my 1st set of cutters have, although the 2nd pair only lasted to their first use. The pipe grips are a bit more slender than general grips but this helps in access to tight location nuts.

These pliers are really well made, as you would expect from a good quality company like Bacho. I have a number of their adjustable wrenches and have always found them well made, sturdy and precise. The plier feel good in your hand, due to the soft grip handles, and they really do grip onto whatever you are working on. As can be seen from the photos, they open to about 65mm and the actual adjustment, which is done by depressing the trigger on the top, works really well and is easy to use. Bacho will never be the cheapest, but I would argue that they are among the best and, generally speaking, you get what you pay for.

Es perfecta para apriete de piezas de fontanería gracias a su gran apertura, además es muy cómoda de usar incluso con una sola mano ( en otras herramientas similares hay que hacerlo con las dos). La recomiendo.

Son unas tenacillas regulables, regulan mucho más sencillo que otras, son muy resistentes, ya las conocía y conozco bien, tambien abren mas que otras de su mismo tamaño.
