I bought this for a member of the family that is getting a little forgetful....This is a great little item, the design is perfect to sit on your ironing board, it is made of heat resistant silicone and looks exactly like it does on the picture, there are also holes in the large end to affix to the ironing board...I used this to rest my iron on during ironing and also left my iron on it for a little longer than usual there were no signs of any damage to the pad at all, including any discolouration or melting....I received this product at a discount for an honest review and believe that is what I have given.

This iron rest is a fantastic product, I wish I had bought one sooner. I store my iron on a shelf, often when I have finish ironing I place my iron on the work surface in the kitchen so it can cool down before putting it away. I often forget about it and don't put it away to my husbands annoyance, so he suggested I buy one of these mats to keep on the shelf where it is stored. The rest pad arrived and fits perfectly. I don't worry about putting it away now while it's hot as I know it's going to be safe. I have been putting my iron away each time after use and the pad is brilliant, it has little raised bubbles to enable the iron to cool down faster.I would highly reccomend this product to my friends.
