I ordered this so I’d have a gripper on my keychain to open water bottles when I am not at home. So far, the gripper works great. But this was nightmare packaging for me.This product is for people with arthritis or peripheral neuropathy or a hand malformation who struggle to open things. It is packaged in a plastic bag with a zip closure at top. The top was 1 inch wide and the plastic was the same very short length past the zip. I struggled for 15 minutes trying to get a grip (no pun intended) on both sides of the bag to open it. Finally, I went into another room and cut the top off with scissors.Then, I realized the second flaw. The metal ring to attach it to a keychain is not threaded onto the gripper. It’s loose in the bag. So I cannot open that to put it on the gripper BECAUSE I HAVE NO DEXTERITY OR STRENGTH IN MY HANDS! I’ll be seeing a niece next week and try to get her to help me.If you have a family member or friend who can do that for you, the gripper is fine. But I would think whoever designed this aid for people without hand strength might have paid attention to its packaging.

This is the single most useful accessibility device I’ve tried this year. I have one stuck on my keys, one that lives in my car, and one that’s still in its package in case I lose one or need a backup. I cannot open a bottle without help or an aid, and these have allowed me to buy a bottle of coke or water or whatever and open it myself when I’m out and about. That may seem unimportant, but it’s a massive change for me and makes me feel more independent & allows me to be out and about for longer, since I’m not only reliant on whatever drink I’ve brought with me.

I am constantly. On the go and invariably I need something that can open various bottles of water, juice, etc. Now I have the perfect tool to do it!

The openers are great. Won’t work in large jars but great for drink bottles and small to medium jars. The rings to attach to a keychain or whatever you need to attach them to are junk. Once they are open, they won’t close properly.
