RAM MOUNT X-GRIP COMPOSITE TWIST LOCK SUCTION CUP MOUNT

Wasted far too much in the past on flimsy and temporary screen mounts. Next best to this was the OSO Space mount. This is pretty costly by comparison and the suction cup isn't quite as innovative. However, this is far more sturdy than the Space mount, and the suction cup is more than good enough, it's absolutely rock solid. But, it needs a windscreen, where as the space mount will even mount on a textured dash. The twist cup is more ingenious though. And the X grip really good, if you don't trap a volume or power button on your device. Easy to use, rock solid, thoroughly recommend even if it is a bit on the pricey side.

Doesn't hold phone as well as you'd hope. Fiddly to put phone into grip.

Barely ever comes unstuck from my windscreen and the grip is very solid. Easily possible to operate the phone whilst it's attached.Does sometimes press on the buttons on the side of my phone, but it's possible to position it so that it doesn't.

Bought this with some trepidation as I wasn't 100% sure whether my Note II would fit in the jaws or whether the RAM Mount would be able to hold the weight.. add this to the cost, which is significantly above others, and I was in two minds about purchasing it.I needn't have worried however. Yes, the cost is higher, but the quality of parts and the seal made with the suction cup is excellent. Given RAM have a plethora of addons, you might also be able to use the components in other situations as well. I would certainly rather buy this over buying several less-rugged versions that don't do the job as well.

It's the only mount that stuck to my windscreen with out falling off and a firm fit for my iPhone plus 6 the others I had were a waist of money they were flimsy shaking the iPhone up and down as I drive along I could not buy the ram mount in the uk thanks Amazon

If you want a quality phone holder look no further. This was bought for the girl friend as her cheap one was annoying.

this mount is solid and adjustable as you need it. you do need to use both hands to put the device in the mount, for me thats not a problem

Purchased for my wife. We've had several GPS units over the years along with a few phone mounts that were suction cup based and they all sucked. Fell off, drooped, wouldn't lock securely, etc. Her pro clip phone mount broke and I wanted something that would adapt or be able to handle a new phone down the road, could fit an iPhone with a case, etc. So decided to give this a shot. The suction cup is serious. I mean it is brutal and once you get it on the windshield and lock it into place then it's staying on there. She installed it 6 months ago and it's still securely in place. From 100 degree Maryland summers into freezing temps over the past few nights, not affected. The double ball joint arm is great. Allows the perfect angle, etc. and then clamps down with one easily turned knob. I would only recommend that you pay attention to how long of an arm you think you'll need. I feared this one would be too long and it's barely adequate once we got it into her car. Other than that, it's built like a tank and performs flawlessly, as advertised. Expensive but definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". I feel pretty confident that I might never need buy another one of these.
