Garmin AC Charger (EU & UK adapters), Black

If, like me, you have a Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D and you want to use the Trip Planner in the comfort of your home then this charger is a "must have". Apart from that, the Sat Nav deliberately comes with very little power in the battery. As far as I am concerned a charger should have been in the pack when the Sat Nav was bought. It takes a long time to charge up the Sat Nav battery using the cigarette lighter socket in the car but much less time with the charger. The Sat Nav does NOT charge up the battery at all using a computer USB port. The same situation is likely to apply to other models but I can only speak with authority on this particular model of Sat Nav. The Sat Nav, disconnected from the vehicle's power supply, uses up battery power quite quickly so a transformer is definitely a major advantage. Once plugged in it is possible to work at leisure on doing what one might need to do and, if like me this is your first Sat Nav, it enables you to get to know how it works and correct mistakes. I have found that planning trips on the Sat Nav itself (rather than using the optional "Basecamp" software provided for the PC and then downloading to the Sat Nav) is much quicker and easier and gives a much better result. A definite "must have"; a shame it wasn't in the pack.

Great product. No need to switch on my desktop to charge up Garmin Sat Nav via the USB port. Just plug the AC adapter into a power supply. Simple and easy to set up. Very useful to be able to switch between UK and EU adapters. Genuine quality Garmin product. Very happy with it.

Ideal for purpose intended at a very competitive price

This Garmin charger is great as I could not charge my sat nav with any other device unless I carved it in my car but this is great for changing it now would definitely recommend this to anyone having a sat nav

This is a branded product with backing and does what it says on the European Standards on the packaging not much dearer than the Chinese stuff I paid for that I had to throw away and definitely better value because it works so you haven't trashed your money its not cheap or good value if it is useless.

Very good product everything you want to charge up your Sat Nav. Its a shame that Garmin don't offer this product in with their Sat Nav instead of making more money out of their customers.

Lifesaver for an old Garmin user - OEM cables worn out so needed a replacement in a hurry prior to holidayWorked perfectly, as expected - interchangeable plugs for UK and EU - no more problems charging !

It does the job, the picture advertising this kit isn't exact though I wonder if Garmin are aware of this.On opening the box I found that the two leads did not have the (ferrite carbon suppressors on them if that's the correct term for them)Please advise.

Mein Navi scheint ein Ausnahmegerät zu sein.Während das Gerät von meinem Vater (gleiches Modell) sich über 0815 USB Kabel mit Netzstecker laden lässt, möchte meins ein original Netzteil & Kabel von Garmin oder eben das Kfz Ladekabel was zum Lieferumfang gehört.Ok man könnte kurz vor dem los fahren, im Auto die Route eingeben, ich erledige das aber gern schon am Abend zuvor u. da die Interne Batterie eh ein Witz ist (nach 1-2 Tagen einfach leer u. das 1 Jahr alte Gerät lässt sich nicht mal mehr einschalten), dauert das etwas bis das Gerät dann mal startbereit ist im Auto, daher das Set für Zuhause/Reise.Das einzige was mir aufgefallen ist, was aber auch am Garmin DriveSmart 60 LMT-D liegen kann, man weis nicht wann das Gerät 100% Vollgeladen ist.Es schaltet sich nach dem einstecken selber an und nach 6h zeigt es immer noch das Aufladesymbol oben rechts, anstatt nur den vollen grünen Balken. Sehr merkwürdig,

Si tratta di un prodotto molto semplice ma riesce a svolgere bene la sua funzione. Lo consiglio a chi ne ha necessità.

Voilà enfin un chargeur compatible Garmin LM55 ! Ayant investi par ailleurs dans un autre chargeur supposé être compatible Garmin, c'est celui-ci qui répond totalement au besoin. Chargement à partir du secteur et navigation disponible sur le GPS.

Kit completo, útil y perfecto para viajes. Tiene todos los accesorios necesarios para los diferentes conectores de mi navegador Garmin.
