Not bad
I have tried so far a lot of different protein powders in this price range and this one is not much different. The plus is that is vegan and has no artificial sweeteners, so I am overcoming the texture that is not one of the best out there.I liked the flavour but I am using it mostly with my hot coffee in less quantity than recommended, to add chocolate flavour and some protein intake to my daily diet.No issues with dissolving in hot water and no lumps, however, I do not take it as a smoothie, so I wouldn't know about it.

Its ok, a little artificially sweet but perfectly ok. Bag is a bit weird though!
As far as Vegan protein powders go this is perfectly fine. I bought the chocolate one and its not that chocolatey I have to say, its more just artificially sweet. Though quite a lot of them are. As for someone else's review saying it was gritty, I didn't notice this. But then I gave mine a proper shake in my Huel Shaker and it was fine. It is made with oats though so there is always going to be a slightly rougher texture to it, but i'd not call it gritty (maybe if you were just stirring it in a glass it might be more so, but these are generally designed to be shaken to mix them). In order to give it a better chance with the flavour I did mix mine with half milk, I don't think it would be quite so ok with just water, and it was ok, but I much prefer Huel so not sure i'd buy this again unless it was on offer. I did however mix half of this and half my huel vanilla and it was really nice together plus i added a teaspoon or raw cacoa powder. But it is perfectly drinkable on its own (a bit artificial sweet like 'protein works vegan shakes' but with a different texture) so if you like those you might love this.Be mindful of the bag though! It only opens one side, so don't do what I did and cut all along the top, only to find there is no seal on the other side!! - this is because it only opens and clips shut on one side (bit late after cutting along the top, so had to use a long clip to keep it shut). But its actually a better design bag as it means its easy to pour out when its at the end of the bag, instead of getting stuck in the corners like the others. All in all i'd give it a 4 star - £15.99 for 500g isn't a bad price and I would recommend trying it. I've tried loads of vegan shakes and this fairs quite well others.

Cheap protein powder
This powder is relatively cheap compared to the other plethora of protein powders out there. Now I'm not vegan but if I was I'd struggle to drink this everyday as when I tried it with just water as per the instructions I couldn't really taste the chocolate over the overwhelming taste of peas.I added a little bit of peanut butter to it and it did help with the taste and made it much more enjoyable plus the peanut butter added more protein to the drink.

Tastes great
Vegan protein powders have come a long way since I first tried them, this one is as close to whey as I've had with no gritty or earthy taste and a good amount of protein per serving. The flavour is very nice, mixes well in water and I've also mixed it 50/50 with some whey and that works really well too.500g for about £16 is about what you should expect to pay, protein powders in general have increased in price over the years and this feels about right for a vegan one.5 stars for a nice tasting nutritional drink.

Bad taste and texture
After blending my protein shake for 1-2 minutes the texture is still very gritty. It tastes like an unflavoured pea protein powder that I bought from Pulsin - where is the vanilla? It's really not a good taste 😞 There is a good % of protein in each scoop, but I have to force myself to drink this.I wouldn't recommend it.

Good shake, but texture rather gritty
The flavour I received for review was vanilla.I’m not keen on protein shakes, but my grand-daughter (20) is a fan, so I asked her to try it. She was in two minds about it:“This powder is good value, and I love the taste. I was pleased to see that it has no artificial sweeteners, and that it’s claimed to be Vegan (not that I’m Vegan myself). The vanilla is really versatile, and can be used with many other ingredients. There is a scoop supplied. The bag is supposed to be resealable, but I couldn’t reseal it; it looks as if the closure got stuck to one side. The main issue was the texture. It’s rather grainy for if you want to include it in something like overnight oats. A pity, because otherwise it’s a pretty good product.
