Spider-Man: Brand New Day Volume 1 TPB (Spider-Man Graphic Novels (Marvel Paperback)) Paperback – 29 Oct. 2008

I've been a long time Spidey fan since my childhood and til now at nearly 23 years old in my life. After reading up and asking about where to start reading the comics after a very long time, I Must say for new readers who are familiar with Spidey's Origins and most of the Villains etc.. this is a perfect start, whilst its also A Brand New Day for Spidey its also a Brand New Day for Us! The writing is Superb, The Art beautiful and you could just read it from Start to End in One go, I'd Recommend it anyday.

When Marvel announced they were throwing out a ton of continuity to reboot Spider-Man I was less than impressed. Having collected Spider-Man for 30 odd years, these things feel a little disrespectful to both the fans and the characters. That being said, I picked this up to give it a try and Marvel couldn’t have done it any better.Dan Slott especially nails the magic of Spidey, and Steve McNiven’s art is incredible throughout. The book slightly dips with Marc Guggenheim and Salvador Larocca, but only slightly, and the overall story is excellent. The character of Jackpot is lame though.For this collection, the copy of Tom Brevoort’s bible for the new Spidey was very interesting, and the Dan Slott short story was very good too, though the art looked very dated now.So, great execution, though I still wonder if such drastic changes were really needed. Nonetheless, recommended.

Been wanting to get into Spiderman comics and this felt like a good entry point. Might eventually go back before the Civil War storyline at some point though

My first Spider-Man for quite a while, enjoyed it and like a good comic should it left me wanting more.

Not read any superhero comics since I was in my teens. Really enjoyed the stories. Will definitely be downloading more.

Brand new day means what happened after one more day. If you missed one more day but read civil war !one I did this book confusing. This book is a reset for a new Spider-Man universe. You do not go back to day Peter was bit by the spider but these book is a reset no way you look at it.

I wasn't quite as offended by one more day as other readers, so I didnt mind this "new but old" take。It's definitely whiplash after all the crazy (and super dark) stuff Pete had to put up with from the Other, clones, and on to Civil War。Still, it's "good"。Im rounding up from 3.5 stars。

Great comic in a great bundle nice for anyone starting to read spiderman or who wants the collection in a nice bundle

Product came in great condition and the small touches they add make me happy I went with them and not digital.

I grew up with the amazing Spider-Man cartoon in the 90's and have read a few spidey comics in the past. This was a great book and kept me interested. I'm now starting volume 2.
