Versatile mannequin
Bought this for my wife's birthday, her first dress-maker's mannequin. She's very pleased with the quality of the product. It seems highly adjustable. There are 4 adjustment "dials" (front, back and each side) for chest, waist and hips, plus the neck size and the height of the overall mannequin can also be adjusted. It seems to be made from good quality materials, is easy to put together and is nice and sturdy when assembled. Some of the adjustment dials seem a bit stiff at first, but this is probably because it is new and should get easier to turn the more it is used.My wife will mainly use it to make clothes for herself, so she put a favourite dress of hers on the mannequin in order to adjust it to her size/shape. Another little tip, she put one of her bras on it too, in order to get the chest size and shape the closest possible match to her's!I should also point out that it was delivered in a large cardboard box, which was a relief as I got it delivered to my office and was dreading it coming in nothing more than a bit of shrink-wrap! lol :-)

Great Buy
OK, I have wanted one of these for a while now and settled on this one.To be honest it's great for me as it wasn't too pricey so you get what you pay for.Its does everything it says it does on the box, a little flimsy but works fine. The only issue i have is the sizing does come up really small but if you are on a budget you can just pad out the parts you need and make this one work for you.I have had no issues with the dials and height adjustments etc, everything works as stated. A great starter item.I have only had this a day and not put it through anything as yet...time will tell : )

Pretty but unstable.
I chose this dressmaker's dummy because of the multi faceted adjustments available; 8 piece with adjustable waist length (shorter or longer, but I have not tried it yet). Large dials on front are easy to use with sizes written on. Smaller side, and back cog wheels also adjust size. Also because of the attractive fabric covering; which has a good quality look and feel, like a cotton-knit or T-shirt, but is probably polyester. The only thing which lets it down is the very flimsy cross base, four extensions of plastic which sit on the floor, but they are EXTREMELY flimsy and bend at a slight kick. When you are working on the dummy, its easy to knock it out of position and dummy wobbles as there is no weight to hold it down firmly. It is okay to work on, but i would prefer more stability. The plastic base pieces are very thin, with a thicker moulded edging of about quarter inch, which is a bad design and not at all robust enough to keep the dummy stable while working on and moving it around the work area. One advantage could be the lighter weight for manoeuvrability, as I was easily able to carry it to another room to work on, whereas a heavy metal base would not be so manoeuvrable. This is obviously reflected in the price, as dummies can be much more expensive than the £119.00 I paid, although I still think that with the thin plastic support structure, it could be cheaper, or the plastic should be of more robust specification. If you don't use a dummy very often, then it would be fine, and looks attractive to stand around.

A must have! I'm really pleased I would recommend
After some research into adjustable dress making body forms I settled on this one and glad I did, it was the cool retro floral look that stole my heart! And price.Delivery was quick too (even over Christmas period). This dress form is easy to put together, light weight but sturdy, very cool looking with its retro /throwback floral cover and has a handy pin cushion at the top for your pins. The height, neck, bust, waist and hips are adjustable in width and the waist is also adjustable should you need to lengthen it to your body measurements on this form. In 2 days I have sewn one perfectly fitting shirt already! The measurements for this body form are actuate and true(for my body at least) and the body form is near to a natural women's shape with a curved bust/waist/bottom which helps for a good natural fit.Overall I am pleased with the body form and even more with the price, I recommend this form to all experienced dress makers/seamstress/fashion designers and fashion students and those who are just starting out with dress making.oI look forward to many more years of dress making with this body form.

happy!!...
Absolutely love the pattern. So easy to put together. Arrived a day early!! It is a plastic light weight frame and the adjuster are quite stiff but once adjusted to my size all good until I change size as I don’t need to adjust them every time I use it .. works perfectly , waist hips chest all adjust, padding is just enough to pin..very happy with my purchase thank you... Perfect but damn scary! Stand is useless and flimsy.
Still scares the crap out of me when I get up for work in the morning and wifey as left it in the living room doorway!!!Very light, perfect for what my wife needs for dressmaking. The feet for the stand are flimsy and easily broken. Can you buy a replacement? No, you can!!

Sizes not to exact measurements
I ordered a small mannequin i.e. UK size 10 to 16 because I want to tailor my dresses true to my size as I hover between a 12 and 14 these days. I looked at the dials (particularly inches as I'm used to imperial for dress measurements). I noticed that the waist measurement on the dial says it goes up to 33 inches but when I turn the dial up to it's maximum and measure the waist with a tape measure the actual reading is 28 inches. That's 5 inches too small. So basically the maximum measurements are not obtainable.
