The remote looks like the Sony original but this remote needs to be pressed several times before it begins to work. I have tested and replaced the batteries. The original remote works every time. I plan to return it to Amazon.

I didn't know Amazon had these and I was so happy since the dog chewed it up, had it within one day. Now in a safe spot so she can't find it and eat it again.

This remote can not survive a 2 foot fall onto my hardwood floor. I had to replace it two months ago because it fell and now it’s already broken again because of another short fall. I am definitely not going to be purchasing this remote again and will instead opt for something more durable. Other than that I was pleased with it.

This product works flawlessly with my Sony TV. Just follow the directions on here to have it compatible with the set.

Great n compatible

The remote is identical except that it has a large back panel instead of a small back panel where the batteries go. However, we have not had any luck with this Remote. It seems to burn up batteries really fast and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. We have to go into settings and reset the remote every time we use it.1st it just started with the burning through batteries and now it isn't communicating well with our TV at all. I checked and double checked that we have the correct remote and we do.We bought the other version of the same remote with the tiny back panel for the batteries and that remote works great.Maybe it's a faulty remote? Not sure but we have struggled since day one with this one. We haven't had it long at all.

We needed a second remote for our new TV. When it arrived, it worked without any tweaking!! Very happy.
