My security cameras are outdoors. They are working good so far. Very impressed with the camera image and clarity. Easy to setup and install, no issues. The SJCAM Guard app is full featured and very intrusive.

I have 2G and 5G wireless connections and mistakenly selected the 5G network. That a problem as I had to go back and change the settings. Unfortunately, when I tried to start over, I received onscreen corrections in Chinese. As I'm a little rusty on my Chinese, that didn't help. Actually, several times as I went through the app trying to set up the camera and while using it, I received tips in Chinese.I have other security cameras and while this app has many good features, improvements can be made. You cannot create a daily security schedule whereby the alarm is armed at preset times. Your choices are "Home", "Away”, or "Disarmed" with only the ability to select/unselect video or push notifications. It's also difficult to find the setting you're looking for except by tapping on multiple buttons. Of course, you can read the manual but you shouldn't have to carry it with you at all times.The siren/light can be activated remotely or automatically and you can listen and speak through the camera which was tested Audio quality both listening and speaking to someone via the camera, was good. Alarm sound is loud and effective and the spotlight is very bright. The movement sensitivity was also judged to be very good. All of these parameters can be adjusted higher or lower within the app.I tested the camera for latency time between someone entering the field of coverage and the camera starting to record. Walking rapidly into/out of the recording area, in low light conditions inside my home, activation and tape record start took under a second. I will be using the camera indoors and did not test it for weather-resistance but it is self-rated at IP 65 meaning it should be able to withstand rain, wind and dusty conditions.Bottom Line: Good Security Camera, Durable and appears to be High Quality. App is ok but needs work to allow for scheduling and to convert correction messages from Chinese to English.

So I initially ordered this as an outdoor camera for my driveway. Upon inspection, it’s just too much of a hassle charging this. It doesn’t come with a plug in cord so you have to charge it, install it. Once it runs out of charge, you have to remove it and put it back. It’s too much of a hassle to do that specially if you’re putting it in a high mount. I decided to use it indoors by the fireplace Mantle and it’s working well for us. The quality of video is good. The battery lasts a while and app is easy to use. If they are advertising it as outdoors, i hope they have a provision so you can use a powercord with it instead of having to charge it all the time.

The media could not be loaded.  This security cam is pretty easy to install and setup. The video quality is pretty good at the highest resolution, but at the lowest resolution, it's pretty bad. The battery life seems to be very good. I like the ability to turn on the LED light from the app if someone is lurking about and then if needed, the alarm can also be triggered from the app.You can get a pretty good idea of the video and audio quality in my video, which I boosted the audio for the video a little bit, except for the alarm demonstration, where I lowered the audio some to save your ears. The actual alarm isn't quite as loud as the video might lead you to believe. I think that's because the mic is next to the speaker, so it comes across as being louder in your videos than it actually is in reality. In my opinion, the audio quality is pretty poor overallAll of the automatically recorded video, as well as videos recorded by pressing the record button, can be viewed from the app. A still shot can be taken by clicking on the scissors icon. All media can be downloaded to your phone via WIFI or can be transferred to a computer via the Micro SD card. I didn't know the camera comes with a 32GB card, so I had already purchased a 128GB card which will hold more video and allow me to back further in time to view any activities, but I appreciate the inclusion of a card.Once the camera detects movement, it will begin recording and the video length is determined in the app under the "battery management" section. Also, upon movement detection, the lights on the camera will blink indicating it's active. Those lights can be turned off in the app if you want to be more discrete, but I like the idea of someone seeing the lights and understanding they are being watched.

I now have a collection of seven different remote motion detection cameras, and this one is the one that I depend on the most. The pictures and description in the listing are spot on, so I didn't attach any pictures here.I was very skeptical when I first got this unit because the size is so small, and it doesn't have pan, tilt and zoom. But I have found that the video quality is far superior to any of the other cameras I have. The iPhone app was a breeze to set up, and gives me more control over things like motion sensitivity and alert zones than most of the others. I had a few issues in the app to start with, but once I updated the app, it worked well. Connecting remotely via the app works great, and I can enlarge the picture (thus zooming without the zoom lense) with ease.I don't know how they got this much picture quality into such a small package at such a reasonable price. It even came with a 32 GB storage card!I am also extremely impressed by the battery. I have this camera set up beside one of my other cameras, so they have the same number and duration of alerts. The other camera had to be taken down and charged a couple of days ago, but this one still has well over 50% battery life left.
