I'm a slow drinker, so my coffee always gets cold before I can drink the whole cup. This keeps it warmer longer but it doesn't get real hot. If you like hot coffee, this is not for you.

My mom is the best mom on earth, so naturally I got her this cup. Her birthstone is pink, and she loves tea and coffee, and she's always getting up to heat up her coffee because it gets cold so fast (she is a slow sipper while she reads her paper). This cup is not only beautiful, but the warmer is a game changer for my mom. She is not always steady on her feet, so the less she wanders around with a hot cup the better. I absolutely love using this. The coffee mug is beautiful. It’s made with love and it does heat up very quickly. If the heating plate is dirty, it will not heat up how it should so if you’re having problems using it to heat your coffee mug make sure that it is clean, unplug it and clean off the plate and then it’ll heat up, but be very careful to put your hands on that plate because it will burn your hand. It gets very hot and it does keep my coffee hot just like the moment it’s made and poured.

Gave as a gift for a work at home friend that drinks coffee or tea consistently while working from home on desk top. Truly keeps beverage of choice warm.
