Beautifully illustrated Might want to refresh your memory of the story because there are few words but that makes the story telling such a great experience

A must have

Gift for great grandson

I wanted to give a copy of the book to my grandchildren for Christmas to go along with a theme gift. I was not able to view the book, so I bought it based on the picture on the cover. It was, at the time, checked out at the two libraries which are within 1/2 hour's drive of my home, so I thought it must be pretty good. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed because it was strictly pictures, which, of course is the right of the author, especially considering that he has received the Caldecott award for others of his work. The story is a little bit obscure for young children, and it would have been so much nicer to have a little text on each page--especially those which have multiple scenes on them. It would also have been very helpful to have had the "look Inside" option.

Beautiful illustrations , but I was disappointed that it did not contain the full story of the Tortoise & the Hare ... instead it just had a few phrases , so I had to tell the story to my grandkids rather than read it from this book

Beautifully illustrated, this wordless book allows young readers familiar with the fable to "read" it to their classmates. It is wonderfully inventive and both the confidence and the language skills that it generates can be outstanding.

I didn,t realize this was all pictures and not a book to read. Pic were beautiful....just not what I was looking for

Love this story

The lion and the mouseのように文字なし絵本だと思っていましたが、ほんの少しだけ文章があります。相変わらず絵が大好きで、また３歳の息子のお気に入りです。

This is an awesome edition. the illustrations are so beautiful. It is a truly beautiful book to have. A must have for any library.

I was disappointed there was very little words to support the pictures.
