Aspects 424 Aspects Medium spruce Quick Clean Tude Seed Feeder

By far the best tube feeder I've used. Finally! a tube feeder that can be adequately cleaned. Wish I'd discovered this a long time ago. I would recommend that you not put the rubber grippy things on the perches, unless you want the feeder to be hogged only by house sparrows. The finches have no difficulty using the perches without them. They sparrows can still use the perches, but they don't stay as long and are not able to "defend" their perch from finches.

I have several of these and tabs to release the bottom of the tube break regularly. It would appear to be a design flaw, the tabs are "L" shaped and designed to hold a spring in place that keeps the tab extended through the tube. At the bend in "L" is a recess for the spring that creates a weak spot. This is where all of mine have broken. While you do have a lifetime warranty and Aspects will send you replacements at no cost, the last time I contacted them about replacements the response was "Certainly, we can drop a set of black "buttons/springs" in the mail, at no charge, within the next couple of weeks." That was two weeks ago and still no replacements.

The feeder had a shipping label stuck to it. When it was removed, part of the paper remained and it took some doing to move all of the label and adhesive. It looks like small seed will pour out of the feeder but I have not loaded the feeder with seed at this time.

I have three of these. Not only are they excellent, but when one broke -- an acrobatic squirrel somehow dumped it on the stone patio below -- their lifetime damage repair guarantee replaced it, no questions asked, the same week I sent it in. Were all companies' products and service as reliable as Aspects', it'd be a nicer world.

I love the product, but what frosted my stones was the shipping label that was stuck to the clear tube. It was not an easy removal. Rubbing alcohol, some elbow grease plus 30 minutes of soaking time - the shipping label was removed.
