The only way to open the remote with out damaging it...
I had gotten the Christmas Lights Projector and immediately had troubles with removing the battery lid on the remote. Could not get it off for the life of me so I had returned it. They sent me out another one and I was able to open the lid with a dime. The only thing that would work with out damaging the remote. So far the Christmas Lights Projector is doing well. Using it on static with the look of lights all over my yard. It meets my expectations.

Bad remote
Projector looks bright but it is a challenge opening the remote control to install the battery. They should install it and have the customer just pull the string. I already messed up the cap and won’t turn to open. Manufacture should do a better job or include a key to open that cap.

The remote is an issue at the start.
So a tip if you get this unit: don't even bother trying to open the battery cover of the remote. It won't open. Instead, carefully using a sharp knife, pry open the bottom half. It's held by 6 clips. Put the battery into the compartment in that bottom half flat side against the plastic, and click the shell back together.I agree with another review that it would be nice if the unit remembered the last mode it was in. When on a timer system, it turns back on with a static image of where it last left off. And you will need to adjust the speed every time it comes on.

Not bright enough
Nice small paxkage. Has multiple modes.Transitions are too fast, a slower transition would be nice. Can't supoort stars/dots only mode. With other patterns the brightness drops off and can barely be seen unless completely dark

These lights are of poor quality with the changing patters barely visible at 10” from a wall. I would not recommend.
