One of the best upgrades for my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus!
This has to be one of the best upgrades yet for my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus!Packaging: This came in a neat package with the components separated in a foam insert, all packed into a small box.Installation: I timed how long it took me from start to finish to install the upgrade and it took me 20 minutes. There are no instructions included but full details are available from the Micro Swiss website. There seems to be some debate if a thermal compound should be used. I had some on hand and so used it as I can't really see any harm but time will tell I guess.End Results: I have read that a lot of people have had to retune their PID settings after installing this upgrade. I found I didn't have to. I have tried printing using different plastics PLA, ABS, PETG and even SemiFlex and have found the results are far far better than the stock hotend or the Micro Swiss Nozzle for use with a PTFE tube that I have upgraded from.I did before and after prints and the after prints are tones better than the before prints using the exact settings and materials for both tests. As far as I am concerned this is a must upgrade and once done you will never look back.

I didn't get on with this AT ALL
This is a beautifully manufactured piece of kit and I wanted it to work. Installation was relatively easy and there a few informative Youtube videos out there which explain the process step by step. The results I got from this hotend were terrible however and I was very disappointed. I seemed to be getting over extrusion in some places and under extrusion in others and spent a weekend tweaking my printing parameters but never acheived results anywhere as good as those from the stock hotend that came with the printer.I didn't go as far as changing the PID values which seemed to be the next step as I thought I had spent enough time trying to get this to work. Two stars because it is a nice piece of kit and it probably can work given the time and more effort. I just want to able to print things and this was requiring too much faffing around. My old hotend has been reinstalled and is working again. In the future I might have another go at the Micro Swiss but I can't see this happening for a while.

Great upgrade for more consistent printing
I print a lot from my farm of 10 machines and have upgraded them all to MicroSwiss hot ends and aluminium lever upgrade. This is a must have upgrade if you want to avoid having to change ptfe tube every two minutes or are likely to use abrasive filaments like glow in the dark or carbon filaments.Note you WILL need to reduce your retraction to 1mm or less and it is advisable to run a pid tune after fitting as the heating behaviour will change. You may also notice a need to print at slightly different temperatures ...usually slightly hotter. If you have jams, it will be due to too much retraction or the cooling fan on the hot end losing efficiency and allowing heat creep. One last MUST DO is to follow the fitting guides you will find online....3D Printing Nerd has a great one. If you don't follow it exactly, you will have leaks of filaments coming out of the heating block.

Worked perfectly for me. Just be sure to follow ...
Worked perfectly for me. Just be sure to follow the installation instructions on the Micro Swiss website as none came with this, and the one part I wouldn't have considered is leaving the nozzle a quarter turn unscrewed, then heating it to 250C before tightening.Levelled the bed and printed this without recalibrating anything.EDIT: ran out of grey PLA for that last piece and had no trouble switching filament either

This is a must have upgrade
This is a must have upgrade, I have not noticed any significant difference in print quality but it clearly works much better with more `exotic`\abrasive filaments. No problems with the installation - followed video by 3D Printing Nerd and all was good.

Great buy, don't bother with the cheaper brand
Got the cheaper brand and had nothing but issues, micro Swiss on the other hand lets me print at lower temperatures and causes next to 0 clogging due to thermal creep. Highly recommend.
