TomTom USB Compact Car Charger 12V/24V for all TomTom Sat Navs and any other devices that charge with USB such as Smartphones or Tablets (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Samsung, HTC etc)

I have had 2 cheap chargers fail on me at critical points - the mini USB bit that plug sinto the TomTom detaches from the wires.At approx £10 this is much more expensive than the cheap ones at £2-£3 but you get what you pay for. The quality of this wire is noticeably better than the cheaper ones.For your information - you get a piece that fits into your cigarette lighter. You then get a USB wire which plugs into the cigarette lighter and the TomTom - it is detachable so you can use it on a PC. Finally, the wire is a mini USB(which is what fits on my TomTom) but it also comes with an adapter for micro USB which is what you get on a lot of mobile phones so you can use it to charge your phone when not charging the TomTom.The only downsides I can think of compared to other charges I have sued is 1) this has a straight wire whereas some others have 'curly' wires which stretch as you need them - whereas this wire is quite long 2) I would personally have preferred the wire to be fixed to the cigarette lighter bit rather thand etachable as its one more bit to worry about going misisng when the wire is not in use.Overall though its a high quality product - don't bother risking it with a cheap £2 charger because they will fall apart after a few uses.

This purchase was due to the original charger cable breaking down.This product has a sturdy cable and due to the inclusive adaptor it can be plugged straight into my notebook for charging without having to remove cable from sat nav.This constant removal of cable from satnav to use the cable to fit my laptop is probably what caused the original to fail but just to be sure I have taped the satnav end of the cable locally to the satnav body to restict movement.I also have the original cablesupplied to charge from my notebook,suppose I could have just bought a car adaptor but I now have this as a spareThis charger comes with a 90 degree connector and a straight adaptor plug and is a genuine TomTom product.It is just what I wanted and well worth the money.

I cannot praise Amazon enough. They managed to beat the high street prices as alwaays and fantastic delivery & packaging.Apart from the product being good quality and long enough usb cable; I have Honda Civic and the wire has quite a long run from the windscreen where the Tom Tom is mounted but it easily reaches till the chaging point.USB like attachement makes the kit even more worth while as I can use the same wire to attachh the Tom Tom to my laptop for updating the maps etc.I have old Tom Tom with thicker end at one side and surprisingly neither Maplin nor Halfords had the old charger. All were with new thin pin. I was worried then that i will have to return this piece and what will I do with no charger. Another great example of Amamzon business sense is that they have sent the wire with old thick pin and a small USD attachement with new thin pin in case you have a new Tom Tom.No wonder mostly amazon customers are the happy customers.

A replacement for a car device . Works perfectly well and easy to use . Looks as described and charges in time

Compact - potentially multi-use. Looks like a genuine Tom Tom part.The lead is long enough and the connector to my Tom Tom Go Live seems rugged enough - I had to unplug the mini USB to micro USB adapter which came on the Tom Tom end of the lead and this was very stiff (a good idea if you need to use it) so don't be put off, it does come off. No problem with leaving the charger plugged in while starting the engine either.I cannot fault it.

I have a chinese GPS which had its car charger gone bad. As it's a quite nice one (ViewSonic... or so it says on it) I wouldn't want to deal with another chinese charger that is only about to fail again in short time so I decided to go with a brand name and this TomTom car charger looked like a great replacement even if it's only 1.2amp and my original one was 1.6amp. I don't care how fast it is charging the battery as long as it's powerful enough to keep up with the GPS power requirements which are unknown, but this charger is good enough as it seems. A great unexpected bonus is that the charger also came with Mini USB to Micro USB adapter which is a nice touch. Well done, TomTom (altough I hate you company for ignoring Eastern Europe = little to no map coverage).

This was great product initially, good value for money and way cheaper then buying a charger from Tom Tom direct. However, my sat nav hasn't been charging properly recently and I have now discovered that the charger itself is faulty. The rubber cover of the wires that go into the back of your sat nav has come away, exposing the wires, some of which have subsequently snapped. I use my charger every day due to the length of journeys I do. I don't appear to be able to return this for a refund due to the 30 days returns having expired, even though I've had it less than a year. Not impressed.

Muy pequeño, de una sencillez extraordinaria. Conectarlo al encendedor del coche por un extremo y en el otro el TomTom, y la cosa ya está funcionando. Viene con un cable USB para el TomTom, y con otro cable con USB y conexión micro por el otro extremo lo que permita cargar mi Smart Phone que es un Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Supongo que vale para cualquier tipo de teléfono celular.

Se ciò avviene, la batteria verrà caricata più velocemente, ma si danneggerà, riducendone la vita.Nella confezione ho trovato 2 cavi:- 1 con presa micro-USB- 1 con presa mini-USBAvevo acquistato lo stesso caricabatterie 6 mesi fa e mi era stato fornito con un solo cavo mini-USB + adattatore micro-USB.Tutti i cavi hanno una lunghezza di 1,5m.Ad un prezzo basso, riceverete un caricabatterie potente, compatto e 2 cavi di buona qualità. Consigliatissimo!

Es un buen producto, lleva el anagrama de TomTom. Entrega 5,05V en carga.Es bonito y no es aparatoso. Venían 2 cables, uno con mini-USB y otro con micro-USB.De momento todo bien.
