Works fine
I was able to charge my surface laptop at about the same rate or even faster than my other laptop chargers (they all say slow charging but fully charge within about two hours). You just plug it into the USB-C cable to a 45W or higher port designated for laptops on your charger. Of course, if you plug it in the 3W port, it won't work as your laptop usually needs at least 45W or higher to sufficiently charge (well, basing this off my memory). So make sure your charging port has the 45W or higher to use this adapter for your laptop. I tried multiple USB-C cables and they all seem to work fine so far with this adapter. I did not pay attention if they were fast charging cables but they all seem to work. I am happy I can just take this tiny adapter with me anywhere and attach to my USB-C cable and plug into any 45W charging ports.

DOES NOT WORK
This product literally does not work. I made sure to connect it to a charger that can support laptop charging because I saw the reviews stating how the product doesn’t work, and thought it might have been an unsupported accessory, but no. This product is a waste of money! It does not charge my laptop. The light turns on indicating that it should be charging, but my laptop is unresponsive to this product. I made sure that this was the right charger too. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT DOES NOT WORK.

Perfect Adapters for On-the-Go Charging of Surface devices
I recently purchased two of the Surface Connector to USB-C Charging Adapters for my older Microsoft devices - a Surface Book 1 and a Surface Pro 4. These adapters have been a game-changer for charging on the go.I've paired them with an Anker SOLIX C300 DC Power Bank Station, using two 240W Anker Prime USB C to USB C cables, and the setup works flawlessly. The adapters connect securely to my Surfaces, ensuring a stable and efficient charge even when I'm away from traditional power outlets. No complaints here - they do exactly what they're supposed to do without any fuss. Highly recommended for anyone needing to charge older Surface models with modern USB-C power sources!

Only works with appropriate output
Once I found a port that had the correct output it worked fine. I will say the device gets substantially hotter than I had ever felt it before when I used the original charger. It is nice not having to use the bulky one included originally with my surface though.

Good buy.
The thing is a savior. You still need a high output brick, but this thing makes a usb-c into a Surface connector. Microsoft needs to dump that ridiculous proprietary plug.

Works for about a week.
Nope. It worka great for about a week and then starts charging at a very low rate. I tried returning it for a new one and it did the same thing. Not recommended.

It works, but not 102W
It works, but I would like to know under what circumstances it hits 102W. All 90W PD variations I have will result in a “slow charger” using this adapter, while the direct USB-C connection on the laptop works without the “slow charger” flag. I have one charger that shows power output; I have attached pictures. This is a 240W rated cable and the charger is rated at 60W. On the USB-C input I get 50+W and on the adapter side it’s in the mid 30s.Having said that: if you need all of your USB-C port for your peripherals, this guy does the trick.
