London Has Fallen [Blu-ray] [2016]

Ridiculous
A really poor film. Bad special effects, bad storyline, bad acting - just bad. The basic storyline is that half the police & security forces in the UK appear to be corrupt & terrorists. Those that are not are totally incompetent. I watched this film & found it mildly insulting to begin with but then I realised how silly the entire film was & just found it absolutely ridiculous. Feel sorry for myself for paying money for this absolute rubbish. Such a drop in quality from Olympus Has Fallen. Gerard Butler saves the day - on this evidence I think not!!!!

enthralling to watch
Arrived in prompt time. Follow up to olmypus has fallen as now the focus is pointed to London with world leaders attending the passing of pm,terrorist leader brings chaos to some parts of London with planned explosions plotted and shootings in a attempt to capture or kill the us president while on visit,it's up to Mike banning to use his skills and training methods to protect and repel the hunting gunman. Fine action shoot scenes and intense set pieces adrenalin pumping moments.

London has fallen, so, so far...
Watching Gerard Butler spit quips like a mix of McBain and Bruce Willis in Die Hard was tough going. The death of the British PM leads the US President and his new wife (pregnant) to attend the funeral. With so many high profile targets all in one place mayhem ensues. Rocket attacks, bombs and all other kinds of mayhem are released and it sees pretty much every landmark in London put to the torch. Because of pure dumb luck the president's arrival is ahead of schedule and Airforce One is shot down, oddly unlike any other vehicle treated this way in the film it doesn't blow up spectacularly. The film is more of a mess than its predecessor. Whereas before the single minded purpose was to watch the Whitehouse burn here there seems to be a lot going on to little effect. As usual anyone who isn't American or American intelligence is shown as wilfully aiding the terrorists or as Clouseauesque incompetent. Of course there's the plucky sidekick Charlotte Riley who seems to be the one Britiah intelligence agent with intelligence, of any kind. It's another Die Hard whatever clone, without Bruce Willis to deliver the lines.

The president is in trouble again, only one man to call.
As Olympus had fallen earlier in the franchise I was in no immediate hurry to see a copy. However, I was pleasantly surprised finding this movie did keep my attention. OK so occasional plot holes and bad dialogue but the action and special effects are entertaining. Recommended if you like your action films.

No way as good as the original film
No way as good as Olympus Has Fallen - Real knock off and no way as good, they struggled to come up with plot and it showed, the trailers looked awesome but the actual film was no way as good.
