A very convenient and no nonsense product
I have three Kelly Kettles which I use under different circumstances, the large, the medium and this small, one pint kettle. I would award both the large and the small Kelly Kettles 5 stars. The large is more suited to permanent locations or for using from mobile transportation and when larger quantities of water are required, the 1 pint kettle is small and light enough to carry around on a back-pack but can provide adequate hot water for most requirements. It is easy to refill and continue heating water on an already kindled base. The ratio of the height to the diameter of both the small and the large kettles creates an ideal "draw" of air to give good fuel combustion. I cannot say that of the medium, more squat, version. I have no problem with these aluminium kettles. Aluminium I consider to be the most suitable material to use for heating water. The 1 pint Kelly Kettle is a very convenient and no nonsense product!

beautifully made
what a very cool piece of kit. much sturdier and better made than i expected.i haven't actually lit it yet, because gathering dry twigs in the weather we've had lately in the UK has been impossible. but i've put a box of broken twigs in the shed to dry out - and once they are, i'm going to play! it gives me a great feeling of security, to know that when society finally tumbles and there's no fuel to be had - i shall still be able to make myself a cup of tea.

Welsh or Irish water recommended.
Just the job if you don't mind smelling of smoke. Boils water quickly. I use short lengths of twisted newspaper for fuel which is reasonably smoke free and light enough to carry. One medium size food bag filled with paper twists will boil water for four mugs of tea. Teabags, dried milk, sweetener, and flint fire starter with some cotton wool in your pocket and Welsh/Irish water from a lake or stream will produce arguably the best cuppa in the world.

Tone your fire skills!
Do not have any of the other sizes, so cannot compare. However we tried this one out for the first time this weekend, it works great. Draws air really well and gets the fire going nice and hot. Very lightweight and the stopper is robust enough to carry cold water in the kettle. Would definitely reccommend these.

Wetting the whistle!
I already own the Base Camp model, but for trips alone or by myself and another, I bought the Trekker. It’s very light, and the stainless steel base now as standard is an improvement, though I never had any issues with the aluminium one on the Base Camp. The only thing I didn’t like was the new whistle stopper. I used it once and the kettle spat out hot water without any whistling. Maybe I hadn’t put it in correctly but I didn’t want to take the chance of the kettle exploding so I pulled it out pronto! The other problem with it for me is that I fill the kettle with water prior to use then seal the kettle with the stopper until it’s time to brew up, and because of the whistle it leaked in transit. I’ve since bought the orange rubber one from Kelly Kettle, and will use it the old fashioned way! For this reason alone I dock it a star, but Kelly Kettles are a fantastic piece of kit, ultra reliable and fun to use.

one of the best out door gadgets I have ever bought, should have got one years ago. Simple to use.I leave it in the back of the car with some tea bags and a bottle of water never need to worry about getting a decent brew
