1/4" x 2"(6x50mm) Best Fluted Wood Dowel Pins - 100 Pieces

Hate to give anything less than 5 stars. These are nice, however I am using them in a peg board. They are slightly thinner than 1/4" so the rod doesn't stick into the holes snugly, so are unfortunately not as sturdy as needed to hold mini paintings while they dry.... bummer dude.

Used to replace ikea pegs in the cubicle shelves that come in different sizes. Worked great. I measured the old peg before buying because there is another size out there that claims to be good but is not correct.

Works as an exact replacement for IKEA dowels

The heading of the description reads "StarMall 1/4" x 2"(6x50mm) Best Fluted Wood Dowel Pins ". Okay, so I guess it is my fault that I didn't do the math right away and discover that a true 1/4 inch is actually 6.35mm. These actually do measure out to be slightly undersized; more like 5.85mm at their largest cross section. That makes them even a looser fit. These dowels are too small to be useful in a 1/4" hole.The worst thing, in my case, is that I bought these months ago after finishing a project that left me with only 4 true 1/4" dowels left. So I bought more inorder to have them on hand whenever the next project that required them came along. That was today, and now after drilling 32 holes, 1/4" diameter, I find these are useless. Plus the purchase is well past the return stage.On the good side, Amazon's customer service was very helpful. I politely explained what the problem was and the customer service rep credited me with the full purchase price, even though I no longer had the original packaging.

It’s a little smaller than the actual size I need but it still works so it’s ok. The wood quality is good. Arrived really promptly too.

Used to replace some broken dowels from an Ikea Kallax shelf. Perfect fit.

These are metric pegs, so 6mm diameter and 50mm long. This measurement is perfect for the Ikea kallax line of shelves (and I'm sure some other furniture from ikea).

Be aware the diameter is under 0.25" closer to 0.22"
