DOES NOT LEAK if you follow instructions!
Will this leak? Yes. It will. But not if you have the lid closed(the flip top) and SNAPPED into place. Then you can squeeze it to your hearts content and nothing comes out. Common sense would say if that is not closed, liquid will come out the straw, lid, etc. from the pressure.I purchased this for an upcoming trip to Europe. For whatever reason, I read "gallon" of water that it held and not "half" I am NOT a drinker. As in, I barely get in 20 ozs of fluids a day. I never drink. So I am trying to get better in prep for the flight to avoid dehydration woes. I have been using this daily at the office and in my car for a little over a week now and can say that there has been leaks ONLY when I don't have the flip top clicked into place. Common sense. I have found that an eye on the levels also makes me drink more. I feel challenged to get it all down prior to the 7 pm mark and have only made it once. The remainder has been give or take 8 ozs of water so better than what I have been doing. I only found out today that it wasn't a full gallon so am a bit bummed about that but maybe once I conquer emptying it for a while, I can conquer emptying a refill. The smell/odor/taste. The instructions clearly state to boil or sanitize in your dishwasher on "sanitize" setting prior to first use. I ran mine through my Bosch on the bottom rack and the straw in the very top rack on "sanitize" setting and there were no tastes or smells. I feel like this would work well for cleaning daily as well. It comes with a telescoping cleaning brush to clean the straw which I will pack to carry to travel, but will use my regular straw brush at home. I can't see where the straw comes apart from the lid, so not sure if that is possible, but so far, I haven't needed to get in and around. I run th e straw in the cap through the dishwasher on sanitize then take it out and use my straw brush with soap to clean out the inside of the straw really well. So far, so good.Lightweight. Weighs quite a bit when full of water (whatever a half gallon of water weighs), but almost nothing when empty.Packable. Doesn't completely TIGHTLY squish down and stay together with the included strap, which some have complained about, but I can see that would be easily remedied with a rubber band if that is your wish. Rubber bands are always double duty when hiking anyway so it wouldn't be added weight for naught. If anything changes over the next 3 months prior to Europe, I will edit my review, but so far so good. Would recommend.

Great water bottle!
I love this water bottle! It holds 2,000 ml, but is still lightweight to carry around all day due to the silicone material.

Great water bottle
I love this thing. It doesn't have a weird taste like my other silicone bottle. I love that it keeps its shape when sitting on a table. I love the straw. I love that if I crash my motorcycle I don't have to worry about having a hard bottle to land on in my backpack.

Perfect for Traveling
I bought this to take with me on a trip involving a 14 hour flight. I need to drink a lot of water to prevent air plane sickness and this really did the trick. As other reviewers said it doesn’t really fold up that small, but it’s squishy and the cap is the biggest piece. I was able to bring it through security empty and fill it up for the plane ride. It is 68 Oz.One complaint is that when I laid it on its side next to me on the seat it did leak water out and if I didn’t notice it sooner it could have been a long flight with a wet seat.I did bring this bottle with me everywhere for my 12 day trip and really came in handy because there are not always water fountains in Japan and you may be stuck looking for water bottles. It was 90 degrees every day and this was a life saver. It’s easy to carry with the strap or put it in the book bag standing up.I’m now brining it to work and it encourages me to drink as much water as possible.I wish it didn’t leak at all no matter what position the bottle is in, but I still think it’s a good buy. It did not attract dirt or dust.

Undecided...
Purchased for a trip overseas, wanted something bigger than the 20oz collapsable bottles. It's a little wiggly jiggly but too be expected because it's collapsable. The problem is that it doesn't really collapse that small lol It also seems to be kinda heavy, and when you're carrying it around a lot that weight starts to feel a lot.I didn't have any issues with it leaking and I left it on it's side for a good portion of the flight. I would not choose this again for long international flights, but it may serve a good purpose to you!

Great for a cruise!
Bought this water bottle for a 3 day cruise to Mexico. It was convenient and saved space! Filled it up the first night aboard and it stayed in the room so we didn't have to keep going down to the restaurant decks to get bottle/cups of water. I really appreciate this one came with a paracord carrying handle since the rubber handle is a bit wobbly to hold onto. It didn't leak, or puncture while in our bag. This will be the go to water bottle for any travel needs.

Junk, leaks
These were a mess, they leaked all over from the moment we filled them. We had to throw them away, which really defeated the purpose of having them in the first place. Total junk.
