Very good blackout.
Very nice fabric, good weighty feel, and it does what it promises, cuts out the light. I thought it was good value also.

Ideal animal shade.
This is a good quality fabric. I'm using it to shield rabbits in hot weather whose hutches are in the sun for some of the day. The fabric is definitely keeping the temperatures lowered (using thermometer to check).I use permanent marker pen to differentiate which side of fabric is to be face down so, in a hurry, mistakes can't be made.Easy to use.I can't comment on its waterproofness as the hutches are under cover of house porches.I also use this fabric to cover over clothes on a hanging rail, to stop the light making their colours fade . Definitely works.

Significantly reduces light.
Nice quality material, good width and easy to sew on standard machine. Massively improved darkness in room. Did as roll down blind with net curtain wire to fix at top and bamboo poles as bottom weight. Sewed ties to top so could be secured rolled up.Pictures are before with just curtains, just blackout and blackout plus curtain. Taken about 3pm, so can see the light cut down.

Great blackout properties
It's a fantastic fabric which does exactly as it says - it's blocking all the light coming in. My boyfriend needs complete darkness for proper sleep, and now that I made our roman blinds, he can finally sleep well. Great product, easy to work with, feels soft to the touch. It doesn't iron very well, but that's the only negative, and since the blackout fabric is facing the window, it's a minor inconvenience. Love the colour too and will highly recommend it.

Good quality blackout fabric
Ordered five metres to make two curtains. Easy as pie to make up and the results are really good. The fabric kept out the blazing sun this summer, makes the room far darker, and I will also keep the heat in during the winter. I've ordered five more and I'd happily buy this again.Having read some of the critical reviews has made me realise that some people really don't get it. This is material: you can't just stick it inside your curtains with tape, you need to sew it. The material isn't supposed to be curtain material: it's lining material. I made curtains lined with standard cotton lining material and made this up as a separate curtain with single header curtain tape. I then hung it inside my lined curtains using curtain hooks. My lined curtains have triple header tape, so I use the top row for the hooks to hang the main curtain with, and the bottom row to hang the liner onto the curtain. This works really well. But remember to measure from the bottom line of hooks to where you want the curtain to drop to (eg to the floor) because if you measure it the same as your main curtain it will end up too long.Remember you have to make this material up into curtain liners - they are not ready made and if you have no sewing skills this is not for you.The material is very easy to work with and improves the drape of your main curtains. However, there is an important point to bear in mind. When you make your liners you need to machine it right the first time because the needle will pierce the lining. If you unpick and redo it will leave a line of small holes where the stitching was, which will let the light through. It's therefore really important you measure correctly and machine correctly the first time because you want as little piercing of the lining as possible.

Nice material to work with, quality material
Used to back a blind, more to keep out the cold than to make it dark. The material was nice to work with and in a good quality material.

Good lining but permanently creased
Good blackout lining. Bought before no problem. But this piece looked like it was not off a roll. It had permanent creases in as if stored folded. They would not iron out. So will buy elsewhere in future
