I have purchased the Oakdale DAB FM, Bluetooth, radio with aux and CD capabilities. Upon unboxing, the products I was delighted to witness the pristine, brand-new excellently furnished radio, stained in black. This wouldn’t look out of place in an expensive car showroom and for the cast it looks like it’s three times the price. Upon plugging it in, I was astounded to see that the radio set itself in time and dates and was accurate to the second. Trying, the DAB sounded crystal clear, and none of the annoying echo I found with another radio from a different company. CD loads fast and sound crystal clear not to mention the fact that I scanned and I did all 171 DAB stations perfectly. Although we are in a higher strength signal area. Aerial is easy to move around and his bio directional and receives all the channels no matter where it is placed. I don’t know what else to say in terms of positive stuff because I have covered it all and this radio is exceptional. Another thing to bear in mind though, and it could be a downside if I’m being really picky is the fact that the Bluetooth connection when connected to a device sounds a bit muffled compared to the CD and the radio and you have to really turn it up to hear it, but when you do, it’s crystal clear that could be because of the Bluetooth device that the radio is trying to connect to, so it might not be something with the radio . It’s very compact and small Which is good. One thing I found though it might be because of my small room and the Wi-Fi issues in my house, but I found that I had to move it around a bit because it was blocking the signal on my PlayStation for when it was put in a certain position, but again that could just be how my house is set up and not a fault of the radio, so it would be really nitpicky to not recommend it and once I moved it to a different position my Wi-Fi was solid in signal it possibly bit could be because I have a Wi-Fi box in my room so again that wouldn’t be a problem for everybody all in all, though, I would definitely say for the money, the look and sound just buy it, you won’t be unsatisfied. I would like to also mention as a last point is that I love the fact that it has a remote control so the remote control will be working wherever you are in the room and you can turn it on and control it from that, rather than having to press the buttons on the radio, so it’s easy to turn off and on, especially when you want to go to sleep.

Great value and simple to set up. Replacement for older DAB radio and the extra features will be tested soon. I needed a reliable radio alarm and this fits the bill. Great radio reception and sound quality. The remote control was an added bonus. So glad I did the research and this popped up. Good size and fits on the bookshelf,

I bought this as a replacement for a broken PURE DAB unit and wanted to play CDs too. For £100 it does what it says on the tin. Sound quality is good for the size, although I question the power. Have it at least 3/4 of the control to fill a medium sized kitchen with a decent level of volume. Difficult to make gentle adjustments. It jumps from one block to the next, when you're seeking a slight increase/decrease. The EQ settings seem to make very little difference when changing between them. I am not sold on the upward facing speaker - you need to place the carefully, so as not to block to sound. Really annoying CD setup. The tray is very shallow, making placing and removing a disc fiddly. You have to be in CD mode to open/close the drawer. You can't simply mount a disc and press play. You have to close the drawer first. Repeat/Shuffle are hidden within the Menu settings. I can't find a way to program tracks. All of these functions are slow to respond. Radio is good and easy to setup. Would benefit from a better ariel. I have a separate DAB ariel, but can't find a way to attach it. Stations are limited. Bluetooth is passive - can connect to phone or laptop fine, but not to my bluetooth headphones. Why would you have a headphone jack at the back, rather than the front? - fiddly to use. Displays time and date, but the clock time includes seconds which seems unnecessary! For the money it's good. It plays the main stations on the radio and is an average CD player with a reasonable sound quality, but has it's niggles.

This mini hi fi is superb and excellent value for money; although I did buy it as a Black Friday offer. It is very easy to use; with good included instructions. The size is small making the hi fi portable. There are many additional features. All of the many musical functions give clear sound playback. For its size the highest volume is extremely loud. Changing functions is easy.

Exactly what I was looking for - a small cd player with radio. This has built in speakers so no wires to tangle or trail, and is a perfect size for the book shelf I wanted it for. Display is brilliant, controls are easy to use even without the booklet. Also has USB and Auxiliary inputs, but they are on the back so not easily accessible. Would have been better on the front panel but a USB extension and Auxiliary cable plugged in permanently will make access easy without having to take the unit off the shelf (just how mine is set up. Other set ups may have easier access to the rear panel). Speakers are built in and I was sceptical as to sound quality but this is certainly well above acceptable. Very pleased with the sound quality and volume. Haven't used DAB radio but have had a try out of the Bluetooth and all the other features and it really does surpass my expectations, certainly for the money paid. And then there is the appearance. Stylish, classy, modern, minimalist. Will not look out of place in any home, regardless of style and decor. Overall I would recommend this item based on having had it for a week now and how it works for me. Very pleased with it.

I bought this unit as I wanted a DAB+ radio to receive Boom Radio and have a CD player. I will recount exactly what happened when I set it up. I plugged the cable into the unit and the other end into the mains, and extended the aerial. Bear in mind although I am only 30 odd miles from London, the DAB signal in my area can be effected by moving a radio a few inches either to the left or right, so I was a little apprehensive as to whether it would actually receive a DAB+ signal The unit immediately began scanning.for stations. I put the batteries in the remote unit, (two batteries were included), as an aside the panel on the remote control unit easily slides out to allow installation of the batteries. Using the central circular control on the remote by pressing left or right, I scrolled through the channels that the unit had connected with, which were displayed on the illuminated information panel at the front. When I stopped on a channel I wanted to pre-set I simply pressed a numbered button on the remote, and it pre-set the channel on the machine to that number on the remote. There are 9 buttons on the remote and I programmed them all in a few minutes. I believe you can pre-programme many more, but 9 sufficed for the moment. The unit itself displays the channel you are on, and by pressing a button on the front of the unit itself, this can be changed to show a variety of information. The manual states that this can be done using the remote, but I have found that is not possible. Pressing the Menu button on the remote only shows the station information or the words “Full Scan” However the strength of the light display on the unit can be dimmed twice, using the remote. It is easy to switch between DAB / FM / CD and other functions by simply pressing the mode button on the remote. The sound quality is fine, but as this single unit was replacing one with two separate speakers it is perhaps not quite as rich, but that does not impede volume or quality. The unit is compact and easily fits in a small space, but bear in mind it does requires space to extend the aerial. Suffice to say I was so pleased with the unit, I bought another which fits on my bedside.table. That is the honest truth of my experience. I have not tried the Bluetooth yet, but have no doubt it would function effectively.

Nice compact unit bought for cd player/radio combo but like so many others I bought on the advertised sound quality. Firstly there’s no way this is a 40watt unit, my old 15w hifi absolutely drowns this one out. Sound gets muffled if you turn it up beyond halfway (or loud enough to hear!). The eq is very ‘boxy’ with no bass to speak of. Controls take a few seconds between press and action so you end up cancelling actions because you tend to press again thinking the first press didn’t register. USB connection is much quieter than cd or radio so playing music from the phone needs the phone on full and the unit to be a few ticks off full volume (see previous comment re muffled sound at volume!). It was returned after a days use as it was so much worse than just using my little Bose speaker.

Very good- handy to use.. and neat... with good sound- (would like a little more bass- but that's just me)- but its very good. Straight out of the box and I had it playing music. The DAB+ radio is great- extra stations- so it is worth it for that. Also the CD plays tracks that are mixed together (or joined) without any gaps. Some older CD players have a tendency to stop at end of one track and then restart at next track- but this plays continuously into the next track..... great for CDs such as Donna Summer's "Bad Girls" etc.

Prima DAB ontvangst. Geluid is helder en redelijk vol te noemen. Voor een slaapkamer, keuken en kleinere woonkamer prima geschikt betreft vermogen. Cd speler werkt ook goed.
