No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith (40th Anniversary) [Deluxe 2 CD]

This was a pretty much random purchase for me. I would say I'm a decent degree of a Motorhead fan, though before picking this album up, I'd oddly enough never actually owned any of their music. This came up in a recommended-for-you-in-deals-type section on Amazon, and seemed like it was a really good deal, for a really cool version, of an iconic live album, by a legendary band.No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith is an amazing live album on its' own, but then you get another amazing live album on disc two, and the whole thing is presented in a neat, fancy little book-style case. It's not quite everything and the kitchen sink, but it's definitely everything louder than everything else. It's so awesome! Just makes me wish I could have actually gotten to see Motorhead live in person. R.I.P. Lemmy, Fast Eddie, and Phil Taylor.

I love Motörhead and it stayed with the original vinyl release of No Sleep… for me. Just graduated 8th grade in’81 when bought this album and was just overwhelmed by it’s pure raw sound! The fact that you get all the shows that the songs for the original release were taken from is pure gold! Each show is a raw explosion of visceral energy and attitude. Deal with Motörhead or pissed right off! Lemmy, Eddie and Philthy you are missed and will Never be Equalled!!!!!

Great album! Sound quality is awesome. Even with the extra LPs. Alot of extra LPs have inferior sound quality. Not this one! Motor Head fans buy this one!

A great live album, a great back story and it’s Motörhead! An excellent package a great read, play it loud and enjoy.

For someone that has loved heavy rock music for nearly all of my 56 years, surprisingly, I never owned this classic live album until recently.While I don't think it quite measures up to the likes of UFO's "Strangers in the Night" or Priest's "Unleashed in the East," it is deserving of its beloved status among metalheads. This edition contains a second full concert disc that includes a few extra cuts beyond the original "No Sleep..." album.You get what you expect from Motorhead...straight forward heavy rock and roll. What more do you need in life!

I avoided Motörhead for years thinking they were a speed metal band. Man was I wrong - Punk at its highest form! I only wish I didn’t wait 40 years to listen.

The classic live album that went to number 1 in England gets the reissue treatment. Great energy and these are all the songs that made the Motörhead legend.

este álbum tem o formato de um livro de capa dura, tem as folhas com texto e imagens, e depois duas "bolsas", uma com o vinil do disco oficial do show, e a outra bolsa com os 2 discos deste show ao vivo (gravação excelente).Acabamento primordial, muito bonito mesmo. Mas imagina um livro, a capa é a capa do disco e a quarta capa é como a contracapa do vinil.Só tem o cuidado (aviso) de manter ele na horizontal, embora o correto seja sempre guardar na vertical, mas pelo peso ele poderá descolar ou rasgar a parte que fica colada na lombada. Só isso. Mas é muito lindo.Sobre a banda? Quem sabe conhece.

un incontournable dans la collection des albums du groupe. Dire que ces quelques années (1979/81) ont vu la sortie de 3 albums majeurs (Overkill, Bomber et Ace of spades) et d'un concert qui restent inégalés est un lieu commun. Le son ici a bien été mis en valeur. Le livret est un petit trésor de nostalgie et le live bonus se justifie largement et ne fait pas honte à cette ré édition. J'ai un doute quand même sur la qualité de reliure des livrets des ré éditions "40eme anniversaire" en digibook en terme de durée. Un bel objet en somme. Si le label continue la série 40eme anniversaire, l'attente sera longue jusqu'à Orgasmatron et Rock'n'roll...
