Inhaled in a day, great escapism
I really enjoyed Tempt! Millie (h) has a one night stand with Zach (H) while they're both stuck in New York because of a storm. It's smoking hot and there's a connection there that leave them both thinking about the other weeks later, but Millie doesn't use his contact information that he gave her. Then they run into each other at the rehearsal for a wedding Millie is planning that Zach is also attending, because he's shockingly the newly discovered father of the groom (he was never told about the baby), who's also her ex-boyfriend. Thus begins a secret relationship where these two can't stay away from each other, but also feel like they need to. Zach is also 15 years older and not interested in marriage/babies, while Millie very much wants a family of her own. What starts as lust and physical chemistry, nicely develops into deeper feelings. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, I didn't think of the ex as om drama but they are sneaking around because of him, and neither are virgins.I loved Millie! She has some uncertainties, like her choice in men that always leads to them finding their true love after they date her. She's also a plus size woman who embraces herself and is a wedding planner, but dreams of helping other plus size women find the wedding dress of their dreams. Which develops as the story goes on into a new business for her that was really interesting to read about. Zach is in security and travels all over the country, he's a former SEAL so has all those protective tendencies. He's very reserved and has some baggage, but is also trying to do what's right because he's a good guy. I thought they were sexy and sweet together especially as the story continued and their connection included more vulnerabilities and emotional intimacy. They both feel a lot of guilt about the secrets they're keeping (and this did drag on for longer than I liked, making me want to shake them sometimes), but they also love being with each other too. And there's plenty of steaminess throughout the book.Millie's family were wonderful and the bond she had with her sisters was a great addition. I haven't read any of their books but enjoyed them as side characters and reading about their bond. I also liked the challenges Zach had with navigating a new relationship with an adult son. It was awkward, but he also wanted to keep trying. Zach also has a best friend who both teased him and offered sage and supportive advice. Some other Cloverleigh Farms characters make appearances but this stands alone, although readers who've read the other books I'm sure would enjoy those glimpses.Parts of this story did get pretty emotional and I got teary. This couple does spend some time apart a couple times, but their big final coming together moment was great and the epilogue made my heart melty and got me teary in a happy way. It was only a couple months into the future and I wanted a further epilogue, but according to other reviews, there's an extended epilogue available when signing up for the author's newsletter. I would recommend this book.

The perfect way to wrap up a series!
I had to jump right into this one after Tease because I already loved Millie. And I needed to know she had a hero who was good enough for her.Millie is a wedding planner, and she’s really good at her job, but she's never the bride. And it may not look that way, but she does mind it.She is also unapologetically curvy, and I loved it as a curvy girl myself. On a dare from her sister, she goes down to the bar of the hotel where she’s stranded for the night. Unsurprisingly, she’s hit on—by a total douche. Until Zach comes to the rescue. She doesn’t need him to, mind you, but he does it anyway because he’s been watching her from across the bar. What’s one night with a stranger? They’ll probably never see each other again. OK, he’s older than she is, but does it matter when the attraction is this strong? Let me answer that—nope!Fast forward to a rehearsal dinner a week later, with Millie in full-on wedding planner mode. For the wedding of her ex-boyfriend, no less, who introduces her to his long-lost dad. Yep, it’s Zach. The want between them is scorching, but there’s something else. The need to belong to someone. The need to know you’re wanted and cared for. The need to be home.So they lie to be together, but when they start missing each other, it’s suddenly so much more.I loved how unique their happily ever after was. Like all the puzzle pieces falling into place. Love really is the biggest plot twist. And sometimes you have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Enjoyable
Tempt 4.5/5⭐️ 3/5 🌶️Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation Series 4/5⭐️ 3/5🌶️✧ Ex’s dad✧ Age Gap✧ Plus Size rep✧ Past traumaFirst, this series all had a very similar aesthetic. “Second Chance Romance” with a heavy side of divorce. 4/8 have a divorce served cold YIKESSS!This left an overall pretty unsavory taste for me.And although each book brings a new aspect and is incredibly well written, the entire series made me nauseated//“no worries your first marriage is probably gonna suck, but find out a younger woman the second time and BANG perfection.”I can guarantee that’s not what Harlow was going for, but it’s what sunk in the most- FOR ME. other readers may have totally unrelated opinions and they should be valued too.✧ Taste and Tease were by far my favorite real passionate love, but mishaps along the way no divorce needed.- I started with Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation, I would recommend starting with Cloverleigh Farms to get a better idea of the MacAllister patriarch.

Millie is everything little me wanted to be
As the kid who spent playtime at school (that’s recess for anyone who does’t call it what it literally is, the time in which you play) drawing dresses in my jotter rather than play “What’s the time Mr. Wolf?” with other kids, if feel like this book was made for me. I also spend hours on YouTube watching clips of “Curvy Brides Boutique” that’s how you know I’m fully qualified to love this book.Anytime I get to be back in the Cloverleigh Farm world it’s like getting the biggest, cosiest hug. Especially when it come to the MacAllister girls, I have loved getting to see the young girls we met in Irresistible all grown up and getting their own happy endings. My gal Millie really spoke straight to my heart, she’s watched everyone around her settle down and find their happily ever after. Including her most recent ex-boyfriend, Mason, whom she introduced to his current fiancee…and she happens to be planning their wedding. She isn’t unhappy with the way her life is, just restless and yearning for change.Enter change one, after a consultation with a prospective bride she gets the idea to open a bridal boutique which is inclusive for brides of all shapes and sizes. I’ve been that girl, intensely perusing the scarf section, while my friends look at clothes, because none of the clothes in the store would fit me (it was also the late 2000’s and lightweight scarves were all the rage).AND THEN THERE IS CHANGE TWO, enter a mysterious stranger at a hotel bar, a mysterious older stranger who swoops in after Millie receives some unwelcome advances from a very married other dude. Our mysterious stranger is Zach, a former Navy SEAL who now works in private security. The attraction between Zach and Millie is instant and electric, so much so that a simple “thanks for saving me from that creepy guy” drink turns into a one night stand that neither of them can stop thinking about.Fast forward one month to the weekend of Mason’s wedding where he introduces Millie to his dad whom he has only recently met AND WHADDYA KNOW IT’S ZACHZach and Millie both play it cool and pretend that nothing happened and agree that nothing can happen again…things definitely happen again, repeatedly. From office hook-ups to secret getaways in places like Vegas, they can’t help but fall for each other no matter how hard they try to keep it casualAlthough they both want different things from life, Zach never intended to have a family and is struggling to come to terms with fatherhood (even if his child is 28) where Millie is desperate for a family, she already has the white picket fence, they cannot stop the pull they feel towards each other.I’m hoping this isn’t the last we see of the MacAllister clan, there are still the twins after all 👀

Cute Christmas set romance
What a cute story. This is my first Melanie Harlow book and I really enjoyed it, I had seen it all over instagram and as it’s set at Christmas I thought what better time to read it.Millie is in Chicago for a wedding expo, her flight has been cancelled and she suddenly thinks that she is jinxed. Every guy she has dated has then gone on to find the ‘one’ after her. And to top it off she is organising her ex boyfriends wedding. Her sister tells her to do something different and put on a nice dress, and go down to the bar. So she does and ends up meeting a mysterious guy who saves her from an absolute creep.Zach has just found out that he has an adult son, and is set to meet him soon although he is freaking out and is fighting the fact that he no longer feels in control of his life.Millie and Zach’s chemistry is through the roof. Zach had some real swoon worthy lines and Mille is so caring and understanding, she just wants to have her happily ever after, if she could just find the right guy for her.I would definitely recommend this book if you like an age gap, small town romance. You can read it as a standalone as that’s what I did.

Impossible Love
I have been counting the days til this book's release and just loved this story! Millie was such a strong character. Described as plus sized, she is sexy and confident with her body. Zach turns out to be the father of one of her ex boyfriends and the couple seem to have insurmountable problems continuing their relationship. This is a smart, sexy, small town story and part of a wonderful series.

WOW what a book! So romantic my heart hurt!
A slow burn romance? No! A hot steamy attraction that's wild, electrifying and reckless? You bet! Plain sailing? No! Filled with angst? Of course. Beset with problems, dilemmas and pigheadedness this is a very scrummy 'will they won't they'. that's an absolute joy to read. If you want something to give you a warm glow and then some, this is it! A MUST READ. LOVED THIS.💕❤💘💋

Love this author but pages missing from kindle edition. Very annoying. Will try deleting and downloading another copy. If that works will edit review. Update: deleted original copy and downloaded again which did the trick. Perfect 😊
