AN HONEST REVIEW
My sister moved out some time ago, and I decided to transform her old room into a hang-out spot. I was looking for an affordable sofa bed my sister can sleep on when she visits the family. After extensive research, most options were either too expensive, looked uncomfortable, were poorly reviewed, or just unattractive. My search seemed hopeless until I came across these foldable mattresses that could double as a sofa. I thought this was perfect! It was affordable, easily converted into a mattress, and looked decent! However, I had some skepticism based on the reviews but decided to purchase one anyway. So, here’s my honest review.1. HeightThe sofa is quite low. I mean, what else can you expect? It’s a mattress. But that didn’t bother me much. Adding pillows to the backrest makes it pretty comfortable for leaning back. I think the low height actually enhances the lean-back experience.2. Mattress ComfortThe firmness received mixed reviews, but I personally found it comfortable. It feels slightly firm when lying down due to even weight distribution but slightly compresses when sitting on a single point, especially the edges. It’s all preference, but if you’re particular about mattress firmness, then this purchase is a gamble. You have to just see for yourself. But if it helps, it’s like any other memory foam products if you’ve ever owned any before.3. Air Tight SealingThis had the most complaints across all foldable sofa bed mattresses, from every and any company, on all possible websites that allow public reviews. This is a common issue across air-sealed products. There are numerous reasons why the shape won’t reform. Well, for one, it’s been compressed and air sucked dry for who knows how long. Most companies would also apply some sort of chemical that acts as a light adhesive so that the product remains compressed when shipped. It is also the reason why it will release odors when it’s first unpacked. After researching, about 80% of the shape will take its form after leaving it out for 24-48 hours as instructed. However, in most cases, only about 60-70% of the shape will take its form, usually in about forever. But there is a way to help the sofa shape back to its regular form!I’m probably not the first to do this, but I thought of a cheat code that can revive most of the sofa’s shape. If you have one of those handheld steamers, then you can make your sofa look much better. You probably put the pieces together already, but I just started steaming it, and I saw the sofa slowly come back to life. People have also complained about the wrinkles, so essentially, you’re killing two birds with one stone. This process might take a while because you want to make sure to steam all areas evenly. I steamed the corners more than any other area because it tends to be stiffer. If you commit to this process, then I can guarantee you that the sofa will look at least a little better.4. Fabric MaterialThe fabric cover feels cheap. It’s really thin and tight around the inner corners. I feel like I can tear the fabric if I sit down hard enough. I just know the fabric is prone to tearing. So, to extend its life, I slightly unzipped the cover, just enough to reduce tension on the fabric.5. PillowsThe pillows are adequate. It was included, so I’m not complaining. I steamed those too, and they look much better than when first unpacked.Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I had some hesitations due to mixed reviews, but this sofa bed was the best option for my needs. I hope this review helps with your decision!

Great Buy, I'm surprised
I honestly bought this Queen Sofa Bed so my old pup who had back problems was not tempted to jump high onto a regular-height sofa. I thought it would make a nice temporary bed for guests, too. As an older person, I had to get used to sitting low, but it was not a problem once I got used to the motions. Then, one day, I decided to extend it into bed form and I slept on it that night. Wow, I did not wake up with neck or hip pain for the first time in years. All this time, I had been sleeping on the wrong type of bed. My regular bedroom queen-size mattress was high-end, medium softness, memory foam topper, adjustable for head, legs, and back. And, I still woke up each morning in pain. Part of getting old, I thought. But then, I tried the sofa/bed. And I was pain-free. All this time, I needed something firmer and not as complicated as my regular bed. I have slept on the sofa/bed for a couple of months and it has been great. My next step is to replace my regular bed with a new sofa/bed just like the one I have in the living room.Other perks of the bed are that it is easy to convert from sofa to bed and vice-versa. It is also easy to clean. When I spilled coffee on the sofa, I just had to unzipper the cover to wash it. Finally, I have had the sofa/bed now for almost a year and it has held its shape and great looks. This sofa/bed may not be for everyone, I guess it depends on your taste and what you want it for. But it was sure the best and most surprising bed purchase I've ever made.

A couple flaws but overall good
I knew what I was getting into buying this. We were looking for something that would be good for overnight guests, but wasn't a heavy piece of furniture, for our new upstairs spare room. (I didn't want to haul a sofa sleeper up the stairs, and I didn't want a permanent bed in the room at this point). We haven't used it a lot but so far it's comfortable to kind of lay back on and watch TV (make sure your TV is raised up fairly high off the ground. We have the TV on a dresser). The main thing I'm frustrated about is the time it is taking for the foam to uncompress. I read the review about using a steamer and I have one so I thought - easy peasy. Well... our steamer is no longer working so I couldn't test out that option. I tried using the steam on the iron but the places it hasn't decompressed yet are mainly the corners and sides and I don't want to melt the foam by getting an iron too close to it... so... about 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for it to compress to the shape that I see in some of the other reviewer's pictures. Otherwise I think it's a relatively inexpensive alternative to an air bed (they always get leaks - ALWAYS), or a sofa sleeper. I like that it has a zipper so sleepers won't fall through the crack.
