Quiet, easy to install after a related struggle, works well, better than Siamp Monaco so far
This item is very good, quiet, simple mechanism being just a screw to raise float/ water level and install was easy (after mild struggle to related problem). The struggle was not necessarily this item but we needed to change the washers for the fibre type I think. Not rubber ones due to the water needing to swell the washer in place. Also Ptfe aka Teflon tape was needed for a seal with the fibre washers too. Other than that screw in after undoing the nut to the cistern and I believe it is a case of just screwing it in place. My brother did it so I can't say the exact steps but TURN WATER OFF at isolation valve (if you have one) or preferably at main stopcock in house, drain the tank by flushing the chain, unscrew old unit, undo cistern nut with appropriate large spanner. Unsure if tape comes in here or not and possibly wrap some tape around new unit and screw in place after replacing the washer (if needed and highly likely a professional would recommend it). There are videos available on YT. Sorry if anything is wrong but as I said it was my brother who replaced it.If anyone is wondering that did not need to be like for like as we changed a siamp Monaco for this Fluidmaster after I extensively searched for the best recommended fill valves, as I do with every single product I buy.Honestly I am OCD about best products! This wasn't top IIRC but amongst the best brand/ reasonable price. Anything was bettwr than that terrible valve that never worked properly.Make sure the seal is tight with the washer and tape if needed and be sure not to over tighten the nut going to the cistern when complete. I think they recommended a half turn past tight but just watch a quick video if unsure even of its any bottom fill valve you should get an idea. Honestly it isn't worth getting a plumber who usually charge a minimum 60 quid just for turning up/ half hour minimum. It is worth a crack and as always turn the water off! Do not forget to turn back on and if unsure wait for others to be home just in case and one to turn water off, one to fix in our case as we have no isolation valve. If all goes well hopefully you hear the fill, quick, quiet, simple (for DIY relatively speaking). Would be a 10-20 minute job if prepared or less. All in all a good unit that hopefully lasts a while. One caveat was aparently brass bottomed product may be better as it is less likely to snap or get stuck in future.I hope this helps and yes I know some things are obvious like turning water off but you'd be surprised people do forget the simple bits.

Effective and quiet
Have now replaced three toilet valves with this product over a period of two years. All working fine - and quietly.Easy to fit, easy to adjust - not much else to say.

Good unit
Its a well made unit and is easy to install. Its construction is sturdy and you get the impression it will last a long time. Its easy to alter the hight to suit most needs. The one thing that didn't suit my needs is the float. The float is not enclosed so if the unit is positioned close to the side of the cistern it can catch on the side.

Incredible! I love it!
This is soooooo much better than the garbage ancient Armitage Shanks one that came with my toilet, it sounded like a trumpet when you flushed and was very noisy, especially in an apartment.Anyway this thing is so good, its very easy to install even though it says 'For professional installation only' lol in fact the hardest part for me was removing the old one.I love that this one fills from the BOTTOM, it's very quiet and its fast at filling the cistern. My favourite thing about this inlet valve is that it's technically in two pieces. If you lift up the plastic ring you can lift the whole top half of the inlet valve off the main stem.Which means if this ever breaks you can buy a new one and just slot the new top half onto the old stem, no tools required and I think that's brilliant!I very highly recommend this product. In fact I recommend the version with brass threads more as its easier to strip plastic threads, you can find that version here:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fluidmaster-PRO45B-Valve-Brass-Shank/dp/B004O8601M/If you found this review helpful, please consider slapping that helpful button! :D

Saved time and expense.
Buying this meant i didn't have to get a plumber in or remove the toilet as used the top half to directly replace the valve already in the toilet cistern and stopped the valve leaking.

Good quality - but with a flaw
This item is good quality, and has a good range of vertical adjustment for the height of the lever which closes the valve. You need to make sure it's 25mm above the level of the overflow pipe inside the cistern, or else it won't close and so the water will keep running into the cistern. The instructions aren't very clear (although they're not difficult, as long as you remember the 25mm thing).Would have been 4 star, I've knocked it down to 3 star as unfortunately the 'floater' chamber is quite wide, and if (like me) your mains inlet hole is in the corner of the cistern, then it will be quite tight up against the wall of the cistern, and may get stuck due to friction, and not close the valve. This happened once or twice for me, and so I had to put a little bracket in to push the floater chamber a couple of mm off the cistern wall. They should make the floater chamber with a smaller diameter! I'm not a plumber, but there doesn't seem any reason why they couldn't make it 3-4mm smaller in diameter.

The dream
old one constantly overfilling and I had to run a tap for 10 seconds to stop it for the past 3 months but couldn't be bothered to sort it, finally caved and brought this one. Wasn't a direct replacement but it works like a dream, fast, quiet, easy to adjust/install. Picked up at 6:30, got home and was installed by 7.Would reccomend buying an adjustable spanner if you haven't got one already (£6 or so) just to tighten it slightly pass finger tight. Probably will need to get the old one off anyway.

Buena calidad de 1/2 pulgada pero no compatible en España (3/8 pulgada)
Bien pero deberia estar mas claro que no es compatible con instalaciones en España. Nuevo latiguillo y agujero cisterna necesarios.
