Flat Top Kabuki Brush By Keshima - Premium Foundation Brush, Buffing Brush, Blending Brush, Face Brush

This was a birthday gift to myself and boy, I chose well. This keshima brush is well known as a dupe for the sigma brush, which has been listed on amazon for only £5 more, so is a 'cheap' dupe that's not a whole bunch cheaper worth the effort? I can't say much about the sigma, but this brush more than meets my expectations and needs. The flat top is fantastic for buffing foundation into the skin rather than letting it sit on top which the traditional foundation brush can do. This leaves a much more natural and 'airbrushed' effect to the face. The bristles are DENSELY packed into the head! a wow for this price bracket and they are super soft enough not to scratch but strong enough to hold their shape with the pressure of application. The bristles pick up enough foundation to disperse evenly without clogging up the brush (and so dragging) and grip enough to not seep or over saturate at the first touch, however I would strongly advise at least wiping the brush every time you use it if not rinsing as unlike the traditional foundation brush which tends to work a bit better with product already on the bristles (obviously not built up but not squeaky clean either), this doesn't and can lead to streaks where the brush is wiping rather than buffing. I'm really pleased with the level of coverage you can build up with this brush with a small amount of product from barely there to full coverage. I have tested this brush with a variety of foundations including oil based and 'water' based, with and without silicones and all though different application levels work well with this brush. It does love a silicone packed foundation as it really helps to buff and blend but I also get a flawless application with a silicone free £4 Makeup Revolution foundation which is clotted cream thick, the trick is buffing not swiping. The handle is chunky which helps support the proper grip for buffing and so enabling a good result by design. My only quibble would have been to take a tip from Real Techniques and flatten the bottom of the brush as it is really handy to stand up when adding another bit of foundation/concealer etc without having to put back in the pot or lay down and thus transfer product. Seriously impressed with this brush, I'm definitely a convert to the kabuki flat head, and considering the quality and the price bracket, this brush should stand for it's quality alone rather than just being a dupe, putting the other set on my Christmas list! A post script, this truly is a company that cares, and hold true to their 100% satisfaction claim as I had an issue with my brush four months down the line and they were fantastic in helping me, I cannot recommend this company highly enough!

This is the best foundation brush I have used, I have just purchased my second one. The first brush lasted exactly 2 years, it suddenly started to shed hairs - so when they go, they go. I never actually wash them, just use makeup remover on a paper towel to clean the bristles. They are SO soft and pliable, easy to contour even in small areas, lovely chunky handle which is very comfortable to use. I swipe foundation on my skin then use the brush to blend out, that way you are not wasting lots of product and it keeps the base of the bristles clean. Nice looking brush too, also lightweight.

Like most people, I saw a short reel regarding a similar brush and thought I would look into them, Found this one which had some great reviews and went for it. I am an older Lady and have worn makeup every day from about age 16, trust me it is a lot of years. I had got to the point where wearing makeup was starting to make me look like a clown, and no matter how I applied it, it just did not look right. My first application with this brush, I was blown away and I can only say it is the best thing I have ever bought. My sponge applicators are now in the bin and I will not ever, be putting it on with my fingers again. The Brush is so soft, but because it is so densely packed with bristles, it is not all floppy, it is nice and cushioned against my skin. also, I can do a full cover makeup with just a single pump of product, what's more, I have deliberately used a cheap foundation, just to test the brush out and I get a full, smooth coverage with just one pump. It is amazing.... If you have been dithering about getting one of these brushes, get this one. It is a beautiful quality brush and there is no shedding whatsoever. I have not washed it yet as I have used it three or four times and it just does not need it. If there is shedding etc after I wash it, I will up-date this review. If I had one little criticism, it would be that the plastic case that the brush is in, inside its box, is flimsy and will not last very long. As one that wants to take as best care of the brush as possible, I am putting it back into the sleeve after use and keeping it in its box. Being in the sleeve, helps to keep the brush head in perfect shape. other than that I cannot honestly find any negatives at all.... I highly recommend it.

Great brush to apply foundation to give a flawless finish. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear but find with these brushes I use far less of it! Prep your skin properly first - cleanse, tone and moisturise - then use a foundation primer and then give your foundation a good shake and tip a small amount onto the head of the brush and then apply and blend all over your face and jawline - you can pat lightly into areas where you need a little more coverage. Can't recommend highly enough, these kabuki brushes are a complete game changer when it comes to applying foundation evenly and blending to a flawless finish. No loss of individual bristles and you can apply your make up quickly and easily to a far better finish than you can achieve with your fingers, sponges and conventional flat foundation brushes - plus you use much less foundation, so the brush is also saving you money when buying premium foundations at £30 plus, as you use far less, so will last longer and you avoid that horrible 'caked on' effect. Even my other half noticed and said how lovely my make up looked!! Cleaning is also a breeze - just work some hair conditioner and water into the bristles first a couple of times to loosen the foundation from the bristles and then use hair shampoo and water and work it through, then rinse until clean. Then I finish off with a tiny spot of more hair conditioner, before the final rinse, then simply prop the brush up vertically to dry naturally onto a towel with the bristles resting lightly on the towel (bristles side down to prevent water leaking into the handle) Job done!

Der Pinsel ist perfekt. Er nimmt die Foundation gut auf und verteilt sie gleichmäßig auf dem Gesicht. Der Pinsel lässt sich gut reinigen ohne das der Pinsel Haare verliert. Des Weiteren liegt der Pinsel prima in der Hand. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Fantastic foundation brush. I love the dense bristles that are soft yet firm providing a great foundation base and smooth coverage. The diameter of the brush is nice, however, I am still adjusting to it being smaller than my last brush. I'd personally like it a little bigger but it provides great control and again, fantastic in every way. Easy to hold and maneuver. Easy to clean. Nice sleek black and silver look that will fit in most cosmetic bags. Highly recommend.

The brush broke only after 1 week use. Feb 18. Changing the review to 4 stars from 1 star. The seller reached out, refunded the broken brush and sent a free replacement that has no issues so far. Great customer service.

Es linda, aunque muy pequeña.

Que vous dire de négatif sur ce pinceau, je ne vois pas ! Je l'ai acheté en remplacement d'un autre modèle qui avait fait son temps et en voyant les prix pratiqués dans les boutiques dédiées, j'ai décidé de tenter ma chance avec ce modèle. Malgré le prix de 10€, il est parfait et n'a rien à envier à des modèles beaucoup plus cher. Je peux appliquer mon fond de teint en toute simplicité et le nettoyage à l'eau et au savon est très facile. Ce pinceau est, du reste, très doux... Pour celles qui recherchent un pinceau à maquillage tout en ne voulant pas se ruiner, foncez, vous ne serez pas déçues. À ce prix là, je ne peux que vous le conseiller !
