I was told they would protect, I use them sunbathing & with light therapy

Q: Can these be used with infra red lamps ?

Infra red is effectivly heat, so a pair of polerized sunglasses would be just as effective in my opinion for infra red protection.these goggles are intended for facial uv (ultra violet) treatment to protect the eyes.for example in a similar manner that the dark green of an arc welding shield does from the much more intense uv rays that are emitted from the arc during welding, which are even more dangerous to the eyes/skin and as you are probably aware the uv from too much of the suns rays can burn the skin if not protected.
