I have no idea whether this contains ingredients that treat the problem. But it does feel wonderful when applied to irritated skin. It gives an immediate cooling, soothing relief upon application to the skin. It hasn't made the symptoms go away but it simply provides comfort. I would recommend to anyone who suffers from itching and irritation. As for causing the problem to go away, this is still a mystery.
