FEIN63806129220 Triangle Shaped Unperforated Sanding Pad, Colour Coded

A few weeks back my old Black & Decker Mouse sander gave up the ghost and I was put off buying a new one as the reviews suggested they're not as well made as they used to be.Anyway, since I already have a Makita MultiTool I thought I'd give these sanding pads a go. I chose these ones against a load of others as Fein is a pretty decent brand and also because you got two of them for the price.As a tool, they seem well made enough and the velcro holds the sandpaper well, without it flying off. So, no problem on that front. However, having used them a couple of times, I've not been overly impressed with the efficacy. Even with my MultiTool turned up pretty high, these don't seem to do a lot. There's a lot of noise and vibration, but not much removal of, or smoothing of, wood.Obviously that's not a direct criticism of these sanding pads themselves. As I said, they seem well enough made. But I've come to the conclusion that a MultiTool just doesn't work very well as a sander. Probably OK for smoothing off the occasional small piece of wood. But for anything more involved, I'd just pay the extra and buy a proper sander.

I'd been struggling on with the original pad that came with my Bosch GOP250 until I decided enough was enough and tried something new. These are slightly smaller than the Bosch but not to a material extent. They are however much stronger than my Bosch one, so the sight of the sheet working loose from the pad is no longer something I have to entertain. Worth mentioning that my multi is not a Starlock version and the pad attaches without issue.

Mabye, not as good as original one, but does the job

Purchased this to used with a Bosch Professional GOP 18 V-28 Cordless Multi-Cutter. Two delta bases in the pack which is a bonus. Good 'starlock' fit with Bosch tool and when used with Fein hook and loop pads there is a excellent grip between sanding sheets and delta base.***Be careful when ordering from third party sellers, on a couple of occasions I have received just one plate, an original part, but not in original packaging. The description isn't totally clear, but there should be two in a pack (see photo)***

The original triangle had worn out. This replacement works well and is a very solid item. My only problem was that, I either missed the information or it was not there, the triangle is smaller than the original. Good value bearing in mind there are two in a pack. May never have to buy another bearing in mind how long I had the original!

Much better than OEM products in that the adhesion of the Velcro lasts much longer than Bosch’s original part at fraction of the cost.You also get two of these in one pack therefore if and when the first one has worn out, you can switch to the second - you’ll be saving money in both short and long term!

I purchased a similar product that wasn’t an original brand. After a couple of hours the glue brakes down that holds the system together. So thinking I was going to save time and money cost me twice. I should have known better. This is by far a more superior product that I used as a detail sander around hard wood windows
