I have used this in hot weather to keep food and drink cool and it works!As long as something in amongst the food items is really chilled everything else stays cool.Good shoulder strap for carrying.

I bought this locally rather than from Amazon due to an urgent need. A decent size and appears well made. A bonus is the fact that the outer fabric it's made of recycled PET bottles. Having used it to carry frozen food, milk, fish, yogurt etc on a few hours' drive by car it was all still cold on arrival. If I were only putting in chilled food/drink, then I would add an ice pack or two. The big issue for me, causing it to lose two stars, is the miniature size of the included paper 'Care and Use Guide' - about the size of two new postage stamps. It contains particularly important cleaning, safety, and warranty info. You will need a magnifying glass to read it unless you have particularly good eyesight - the height of the text is about 0.8mm. The downloadable 'Care and Use Guide' on the Thermos website is not much better. I am going to scan the guide into a computer and through text recognition produce a descent sized 'Care and Use Guide'.
