This product is awful. It has many flaws including being bulky, the gripper not able to grip properly etc. The biggest flaw is the overall design itself. The blade is too far down and either through this or the rest of the design the product simply does not work well. Compared to the OXO good grips slicer I use over and over again, the performance of this product is very poor.

In my opinion this is a badly designed dangerous product.How can that handle protect your hands when it hovers unsecured above the vegetable (as obvious in this picture)?Even an onion is too big to be held securely,and the little prongs give up gripping, thus tipping the handle = cut fingers.The picture shows rounds of vegetable, which are not possible if using the "safety grip" handle. How would a carrot/courgette be held securely to produce the round slices?I buy extensively from Amazon (though not this local purchase) and have always been satisfied.
