Friends to lovers excellence!
Ella Maise is one of my comfort authors. I can't even count how many times I've re-read Marriage for one. Jack & Rose are my favourite couples written by her but now Dylan & Zoe come really close for me."It’s hard to explain what draws you to a person, what it is about them that makes them so special that you give them your heart. I believe it’s all about who you are together, how you are together. It’s simple, what I feel for her—simple, and the most powerful thing in the world."Zoe Clark- a photography major first met Dylan Reed- the gorgeous football player in her freshman year, when him and his friend were peeing (embarassing, I know). In short, it turns out that Zoe's roommate's friends dared her to kiss Dylan to get rid of her shy nature and she stupidity followed him into the bathroom thinking it would be a classroom but that obviously didn't work out in Zoe's favour. Since Dylan had a girlfriend, they couldn't really go ahead with the dare but they promised each other to complete it if they are single and ever cross paths again. Two years pass and now Dylan is in a tight spot with his roommates and badly wants to move out. So when his football coach offers him to stay at his appartment, he takes the chance. But, what he doesn't expect is to bump into the shy, wierd but cute girl he met in the bathroom, to turn out to be his new roommate."The second time Dylan Reed saw me, I was trying to disappear into thin air. If we didn’t make eye contact, if I couldn’t see him, he couldn’t see me either, right? Well…apparently, that’s not how it works."This was a slowburn, friends to roomates to lovers romance and I enjoyed every bit of it. Seriously, I can't find a single flaw in the book. Both the MC's were mature and communicated well with each other. Since the moment, I read about Dylan, I knew he couldn't be anymore perfect. He was just so different and a breath of fresh air compared to the other MC's in a sports romance book. The guy was a literal saint. He didn't fool around, was loyal, protective, caring, brought food for Zoe, didn't make fun of her when she got nervous and started rambling and was a relationship kind of guy through and through. He knew he didn't want to waste his time on meaningless hookups and just wanted to find his own person whom he could connect with.“Am I too weird for you? You always make fun of my quirks.” “Quirks? Oh, is that what we’re calling them now?”Zoe was such a cute, awkward, quirky and funny college girl. She gave me sunshine vibes and I really felt bad for her when her past with her biological father was revealed and I really didn't see that twist coming. She deserved to be loved and cared for and I'm glad she got Dylan by her side through it all. The side characters were perfect. Every single person added something to the plot and that's what made me like the story and the characterization. I noticed that in Marriage for one, Rose watched Jack roll up his sleeves and in this one, Zoe always watched Dylan work out, it was so cute and I just kept squealing whenever that happened!"We chose each other, and we’d keep choosing each other long after we took our last breaths on this earth. Zoe Clarke was my forever, the love of my life, and I was hers."I know Ella Maise's books never disappoint and I'm looking forward for more new releases by her. I initially wanted to give this book a four star rating but I have to say that the epilogue made me change my mind. Ella's epilogue are so wholesome and they never fail to put a big ceaseles smile on my face. I loved the chemistry between Dylan & Zoe and their domestic moments while staying together were so cute that they made me melt into a puddle of happiness! I can't recommend reading this book enough. You definitely won't regret it

A sweet romance
This was a lot more than I expected. It was sweet slow burn with a good strangers to friends phase. Zoe & Dylan were a good fit. I liked reading all Zoe quirks and how amused Dylan always acted around Her.What i did not like was not getting a trigger warning for one side plot. Which i think wasn't really needed to be this extreme. It took me out of the happy bubble i was in with the book.Except that, i really enjoyed this book

This was honestly such a good book!! This book had so much heart and emotion behind it, really keeping me invested until the bitter end. The plot flowed so freaking well and I’m so excited to read another fantastic book like this!!I read this book mostly in one sitting as I absolutely couldn’t wait to finish it and see how they get their HEA. This is a toe-squirming, tummy-curling read, and not necessarily because of the sexy scenes, but because of the sweetness that poured out of this one. I swooooned my way through this one!! Their banter was so enjoyable and such a pleasure, and gahh I already miss them!

Fun and Lovely Characters
Ella Maise is such a talented writer as she creates funny, complex, and real characters that you just care about. I absolutely adored Zoe and Dylan from the start and I loved their journey.**Spoiler** There needs to be a trigger warning for abuse and rape. That part was so hard to read and while it added the characters and felt true it was definitely the hardest part to read.Definitely would recommend this story to all.

Sooo good
I devoured this book because it was sooo good I simply couldn’t let go of it. I don’t know why I’m still surprised, considero g I love Ella Maude’s books. I loved the development of the main couple and the moments we had of them before the long-waited kiss. It was beautiful seeing them fall in love. I also loved the secondary stories that were introduced and gave more base to an awesome narrative. I laughed so much I cried with the characters (specially Zoe). This book took me out of my literary draught. It was the 1st 5 stars book of the year.

Absolutely in love with this book
I was so sad when I finished reading this book. I absolutely loved these characters. Zoe was quirky and fun. Dylan was...well...Dylan was the absolute best!! I think I smiled through the entire book, although I do recall a few tears once or twice. If you are looking for a cute and endearing story about friendship and love then this is the right book for you. If you need a break from some darker content then this is the book for you, heck just read it, it really is amazing!! I could have read another 200-300 pages of this book. Loved it!!

This is definitely a book I 100% recommend! Dylan was so so perfect.
➳ Rate: 5 / 5 starsThe Hardest Fall was the first book I read by Ella and to say I was impressed was an understatement. I enjoy this book to the max. I adored the writing style, the characters and oh the slow burn had me hitching for the end of the book just so I could see them together. And oh boy it took them a good while and then once they were finally together something had to go wrong... so I feel like we didn't get nearly enough of them happy together as we should have. It definitely left me earning for more of these two. This is definitely a book I 100% recommend! Dylan was so so perfect. I loved watching them interacting and earning for their friendship to be more from such close proximity. The interactions between these were always sweet and funny and I just really really loved them so much.Zoe had me laughing out loud since the very first chapter, she was so awkward and so cute. I loved her and I definitely can relate to her awkwardness. She also didn't have the greatest luck which gave us some very funny scenes. But she did get extremely lucky with Dylan, he was the whole freaking package. I swear that boy was everything.I want my Dylan now, and thank you.
