... a really well written little book with a really cool and important premise
I thought this was a really well written little book with a really cool and important premise, especially in recent times. Outside the point it was trying to make I thought it was really gripping. I read it in a weekend. Probably if I did have one criticism it'd be that when it ended I kind of wanted to hear more about the characters (because, again, it is a slender beast) but I suppose that was kind of the point, without giving too much away. I'm interested to read something else the author has written actually but I don't really know where to go next with it, having just heard of her. I want to pass it on to someone who I think might like it because I want someone else to talk to someone about it which I always think is a sign of a really good book.

Soviet-style multicult propaganda
The sample of this ebook has no content from the book itself, only an advert for Simon and Schuster. This kind of dodgy practice should be prohibited on the site. Although I haven't read the book, I have a fair idea of what to expect from it, having seen the author give an interview on Sky. She depicts a ridiculous scenario in which British people have ethnic conflict with Scandinavians and are forced to flee to the Middle East for refuge. So the entire fiction is written in the great tradition of Soviet-style propaganda designed to advance a political agenda, that being to convince Europeans that they should permit the unlimited immigration of non-Europeans. The fact that this will, of necessity, result in the erasure of European identity and the destruction of European civilisation does not seem to concern Ms. Teller in the least. On the contrary, she seems to think it will constitute some kind of deserved retribution for unspecified terrible things we did in the past. She is a perfect example of the kind of deranged do-gooderism that is prompting the political revolts we see manifested in the Brexit and Trump votes.
