I recently purchased this to use on my windows hp laptop and when plugged in all usb ports work. however, neither hdmi port detect my monitor?

Same problem here. All USB ports work. But the HDMI port cannot detect my monitor. HDMI cord works fine when plugged into my old laptop which has HDMI ports. Truly disappointed.
