I love this tea. It contains more spices than black tea, hence it's different to a traditional chai, e.g. made by Twinings. I usually take 1 teabag along with a Twinings Chai teabag, as this one adds lots of nice spices.It's also delicious when taken in hot water without milk (I have sweetener). I've tried it on it's own with milk, and it also tastes good, albeit like a light chai if you're used to a dense chai with lots of black tea. I always leave teabags for 1-2 minutes, stirring and pressing against the mug, and then straining it, which might be more important for this lighter tea.Anyway, I just keep ordering more of it as I keep running out - time for another 5 packets!

The spices in this blend are aromatic and sweet but if you like your tea strong, or even medium, this is not for you. I'm using it up by adding a bag to my loose tea blend in a teapot, which adds to the price.

Superb flavour, you can tell these are quality spices, our compliments! OK as some other reviewers have pointed out, this isn't the strongest tea on this planet, which is why my husband now prefers it as his beverage of choice while he is working, endless cups served by my fair hands, with a splash of organic, unhomogenised whole milk from Daylesford. We both absolutely love the flavour of this tea. It's very subtle and yet packs a powerful punch of the spices while the tea itself isn't overpoweringly strong as some of the other, also excellent blends out there. It all depends on what you prefer, at the end of the day. One size doesn't fit all. And all in all, this is a very satisfying tea and I have just placed my 9th order! Thank you for this excellent tea, what's not to like if you appreciate quality teas. If you're looking for a strong, builder's type tea, this is not it, as much as we all appreciate a robust builder's tea from time to time, why not. But I repeat, this isn't the strongest tea if that's what you're looking for. We prefer it because we like to drink a lot of tea during the day, and the masala in this tea is very very good indeed, plus this tea doesn't give us the jitters - the strength is just perfect for us. Worth pointing out: The percentages are as follows: Organic black tea (33%), organic ginger (18%), organic cinnamon (13%), organic turmeric (7%), organic cardamom (7%), organic cloves (7%), organic nutmeg (6%), organic black pepper (5%), organic mace (4%). Try it and make up your own mind.

FINALLY, a chai that manages to deliver all the flavours of a complex spice blend without being overwhelmed by black pepper and clove, yay!!This is a spicy tea but the spices work harmoniously together; lovely with milk for a more authentic taste but I actually like to drink it black with a bit of sweetener to bring out the flavours. I don’t brew for long (about a minute works best for me) and I can taste the cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric and ginger; the spicy kick from the clove, nutmeg and black pepper comes in at the end.Finding the perfect chai has proven to be quite illusive. I've tried a fair few brands and they’ve been either too bland and flat or just too “hot” from having so much black pepper and clove in the mix that it drowns out the other spices. My most recent chai purchases include London Tea Company, Twinings (Dark Chai), Pukka, Teapigs and Off Blak - and this honestly beats all of them.All natural ingredients too and organic. So glad to have found this tea; it’s the best chai blend in a teabag I’ve tried so far - and I've actually stopped looking for something better now, mission complete.

My daughter loves this tea, very fragrant.
