While we all clean out gutters to get ready for the rainy season, leaves continue to fall. These screens keep any remaining leaves that continue to fall, out of the downspout. It is a simple and cheap solution to keep your gutters working, and to not need to clean your gutters multiple times in the fall.

Bought this product to minimize time on the roof to clean gutters as our house is surrounded by tulip trees. Since installing these, I’ve had to clean the gutters weekly.This product is great for preventing the downspout from clogging, especially if your downspouts are buried. Unfortunately, these create a dam wherever they are placed. A week’s worth of debris accumulation will lead to standing water in gutters after a light rain. After a moderate to heavy rain your gutters will overflow.This product might be good where the house is well clear of trees.

They do what they are advertised to do.- In my case stop pine needles and oak leaves from clogging the downspout resulting in gutters overflowing from edge of the gutter and not going to downspout.- They are inexpensive, flex to conform to the shape of a downspout (Round, oval, square or rectangular and made of aluminum so will not rust. Granted they will corrode over time but stainless ones are hard to work with.- Gutters will still need periodic cleaning but until then, water will flow through to the downspout and not over side of gutter and on the house.

Easy to use but lightweight; hope they stay on through the rain, wind, and last awhile.

I've used gutter brushes for years (you can see my review on Amazon). I added these to the gutter brushes I recently installed in our new house. Easy to fit into the downspout and should help keep debris out. This is important as several of our downspouts feed into underground drains and clogs can be a real problem.
