Can I use this with my guitar hero 3 controller?

Yeah, you can even connect more than one controller, I've had two guitar hero 3 guitars connected to it :)

On windows 10, having installed the wireless Xbox 360 receiver, it still comes up as an unkwon device.

I had the same. I ended up watching a Youtube video and basically you need to click on update driver and then select driver from your Windows folder and it is called something like Xbox controller. Easiest is to go to Youtube and search install Xbox 360 wireless controller windows 10 and you will find it.

Why when i update the driver it disables my mouse so its doesnt work? Any help would be very appreciated
