can this be used on dry hair? is it lightweight and non greasy?

Yes, it can.My hair is very dry, my hairdresser used a small amount of this on my natural afro hair before straightening. After straightening it left my hair light, flowing and not greasy. My hair felt light and Caucasian like after. :)X
