Condensing Unit Protective Cover / Lid Size Small 22" Across

I have a Goodman 2 1/2 ton central unit with a gas furnace/AC combo. I hand held the cover where hinges were and turned AC on. Then moved cover around to all 4 sides too see where the condenser fan produced the best air flow. Each side had a different air flow. After that I permanently attached the cover on the side with strongest air flow. WORKS GREAT!

Honestly I bought this product is great but was the same size that already have to small I personally bought by mistake I which they sale it bigger then that size like a 30, 32 34 inches.Is a great product.Thank you,Jose I MedinaDeltona

This one was thicker and heavier than the one my friend bought years ago. It doesn’t lift as high and that is a concern for me that enough air is getting out.

I just received it today and quickly and easily installed. So far works as it should as it pops up when unit it is on and comes back down into place when unit switches off. I was recommended to this product by my ac guy when i asked how i would keep leaves from getting in the top of my ac unit. He said his company would install but would be significant mark up and told me the name of the product. There is no reason anyone cannot install this quickly and easily!

Good luck trying to obtain a refund on a return with this seller. They were very difficult to deal with and they tried to charge me an additional fee for the returned saying parts were missing. I am thankful to Amazon for having the A-Z refund as part of any purchase. The kap for the ac being sold by this seller is NOT worth the money.

I installed my cover at the end of the season. I did get some use during operating the a/c unit. And never had a problem it opened everytime and closed. I bought it mainly for New England winter to keep snow and ice out since wrapping the unit could rust the system out. We will see if it survives the weight of the snow without splitting.

Overpriced!

I bought three Kool Kap lids from Grier Inc in May of this year and have had numerous issues with the product. I am not happy at all with these kool kap lids. First, the lids bang so loud on the top of the HVAC unit that my neighbor next door could hear the noise and complained. I had to spend around $50 to order specialized foam tape to dampen the noise. Yesterday, I came home to notice one of the lids had completely fallen off due to the plastic hinges that were holding the lid down had come loose and fallen in the dirt. Now it won't stick and one of the lids is completely useless. I am frustrated to say the least since I spent nearly $500 on three lids + an extra $50 on foam tape to dampen the noise from when the lid closes and bangs on top of the metal cage of the HVAC Unit.I contacted Kool Kap corporate myself at their Office #: 800-878-6614 and the customer service rep was extremely unhelpful. I explained the issues that I have had with the kaps and all she could say was that I could purchase more hinges from them and pay for shipping costs as well for around $20. Not happy at all with customer service from Kool Kap Corporate office, they could care less about helping out their customers- service rep was feisty on the phone.From a customer perspective after spending $500 on three of their lids + an additional $50 for thick foam tape to dampen the loud noise from the Kaps banging on top of the HVAC unit when the air cuts off, and yesterday I discovered the hinges that hold the lid to the on of the units had completely fallen off after only three months of use, to say I am dissatisfied is an understatement. I would not recommend buying these Kool Kap lids, and to discover how unhelpful the corporate office in New Jersey was in handling the issue, I have to give this product a one star rating.
